I know Parker is closed, but what is the best place to launch for day use? In Havasu now for the week and wanted to check out Parker, haven't been there in years. Where is the best place to launch?

Thanks

Pirates and Bluewater are probably the two easiest on the az side.

I LOVE Rock House. Although on the CA side... maybe 7 miles north up from Earp.

No current and has some okay docks. And a nice, clean restroom is anyone needs it. And it is free.

I just used the BlueWater ramp for the first time, it was great.

I imagine the Pirates ramp is good as well, because it's so calm back there I can pretty much pull up to the pump dock and get gas by myself. Launching should be a cinch.

First time in Parker last October and used Bluewater. Nice ramp, nice docks, super easy.

Yes, Rock House is a very nice ramp. We have been using it when the water gets really rough. Makes it easier in my wife and I.

Patria flats is free. Right next to sheriff station.

I guess Patria Flats is overlooked by many, but plenty of parking there. Ramp is a bit steep, but is free as mentioned, where many of the others are not, at least to my knowledge.

Bluewater has the disadvantage of the long no wake zone.

I've used the Pirates Den ramp a couple times. It's great cause I can launch myself. They have nice slips and it's dead calm in there. And pretty much no one around.

Thanks for all the feedback! Where should we check out for food (family friendly kids range from 4 months to 8 years old)?

On the water I like Fox's for lunch and for dinner Strokes is good by car.

On the water food:

Roadrunner also does a good job, right on the water, kids can feed the ducks and carp.

Cantina at Bluewater if you are down that way, but once again, the long 5 mph zone if you have no other reason to be in there. Directly across is the lower sandbar area,, shallow enough to walk around, quite a few boats hang out there on weekends, may not be bad during the week.

Foxs and Sundance are both across the river from the upper sandbar,, good place to tie up the boat (or beach it) for awhile for kids. My only food experience at Sundance has been tacos so far,, 3/$5, small but good.

Foxs does have a small indoor dining area if you need to get into some AC for a bit (Cantina at Bluewater as well)

Off the water, Strokes is good, but not cheap, and new owners just took over end of last week, so don't know if anything will change.

Sarape and Maya in town for Mexican food, and the newly reopened China Garden. La Piazza Italian scared me off a year ago with consistently slow service. Couple of smaller family owned Mexican places both owned by the same family, Tierra Caliente and Mi Tierra surprisingly good.

Crossroads and Bobby D's Diner, both under the same ownership, word is Crossroads has been closing earlier and having a hard time keeping good help, but long time local favorite.

Casino has a couple of restaurants besides the previously mentioned Cantina. The Willow steakhouse (again, not cheap), and their other restaurant with a kind of average buffet.

Few other chain places in town, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, McDonalds, Subway, and one 24 hr Mexican joint with fair to good food depending on what you order, Rupertos.

One of my favorite, lesser known places is going to be closed all month while he has surgery and recovers,, Lucky's BBQ,, little red trailer next to "The Bar"

JA Johnny's small little place with good food,, burgers and pizza, up next to the road. Owner John is a Schiada owner,, nice guy,, did I mention good food?

Janice retired a couple of years ago. The building is still sitting there empty, with a banner on the street side. The tribe was supposed to open something but nothing has happened yet.

Isn't the free open ramp available, the one down by Cienega Springs at Riverside ?

Weekdays, just park across the street .....

Buckskin for pizza and wings, plenty of games for the kids although half are usually broke.

Rio for Carne Asada tacos and chips and salsa.
