Dumbfucks, can’t believe people would be so stupid to shoot them off where they could hit the dry ground. Worse yet people probably saw them and didn’t try to stop them.

How close is that to people's places? It's been close to 30 years since I've been on that stretch. After seeing yesterday morning's events, hope no other homes are hit.

Last time they did that it burned right up to where the homes start. They got it out before any homes were burned. We floated until late watching it.

We’ve got 6 kids that will never forget this fireworks show and are all freaked out that our house (way upriver on AZ side) is going to burn despite much reassurance 😁

We were anchored right at the start of the no wake zone within 50 yards of the reeds and I saw the glow come up behind us and quietly told my brother-in-law to pull the anchor pronto before the kids and wives freaked out.

Just drove thru parker as they started the fireworks.
Didn't seem like the wind was blowing towards Ca, just the opposite actually.

That’s going to gain ground fast with all the dry vegetation… hope they get to it quick.

It’s going to be a long season of fire I think. It’s already been cranking all over.

My wife and I saw a little bit of the fireworks from my roof deck. Then, I put my boat away in my storage and finished up around at 9:30 this evening. I saw the red glow and drove my truck over the hill on the 95 and saw the fire Raging.

Probably 20mph winds blowing up river. I went and checked out multiple spots to watch.

It's fricken close to Bermuda trailer park right now. I hope everyone stays safe.

This fire is moving FAST

I feel bad for all the animals and shit that are toast.

Our park is filled with smoke. Just left the bar talking with the security guard. It's out of control and they are calling for back up. Road is closed and numerous campers had to come back after trying to leave. He said it's aways from Emerald which is our first park down.

We’re in the foothills in Havasu. Just finished a movie and let the dog out before we pass out. Full wildfire smell up here

Pretty much the same last night, Bermuda Palms was evacuated by the manager, I offered friends there a place to stay if needed. Fire fighters set a back fire and somehow chased it back to the river, I don't believe any structures were lost but uncertain at this point. We were watching from my dock, I have some photos where flames were higher than the water tanks.

So the guy a couple months ago that started the fire down south on accident went to jail. What will happen to the Indian Tribe/Fireworks contractor? Not trying to be a jerk, but I am curious as to what the penalties are to be.

Basically they burnt the reeds on their property. Had a house burnt down, it would have been on their property too. Good luck with all that. 🤷🏼‍♂️

It happens far too often. This video is from Ocean Shores, Washington, on the 4th. Some idiot(s) set the dune grasses on fire. I’m no tree hugger, but this pisses me off.

Just flared back up.
We were passing as it did. Hopefully they saved the first house. There was a travel trailer next to it that the flames were almost touching. At 1 point fire was in front and side of it blazing. The water from fire boat didn't seem to do much. Mary got some good video. Have to show her how to post here.

The first paragraph says: The fire started on July 6th during a fireworks display at the resort, sparking three small fires on the California side of the river.
The last line says: Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
is further investigation needed?
This aint new!
