Good show Dave, I was out there crewing for the 343 boat and had a great time. Only thing that needs work is the boat count, but that's under stable seeing as how some of these guys burned more $$ in fuel in 5 hours than I take home in a month. Next year I hope to able to spend a few day and enjoy the festivities a bit.

We need more inboards!

I am working on that and have some big announcements that will be happening over the next month. A lot of changes coming!

Dave, does insurance require the mandatory pits? I would like to see what would happen if that was left up to the driver and crew chief.

There was 29 entries.. Up a little from last year. Unfortunately a lot of the v drives broke during qualifying yesterday. :(. Justified, GN911, and bloodshot all had problems. I don't have a start count but I would guess it to be around what you claimed. 22-24'ish.

Here is what I can say.. Everybody that is here is happy. We had a great time last night at strokes, every staff member and every race team was fed a first class dinner.. Again this year cash (not checks or empty promises) was payed out to the top qualifiers about a 1000.00 in free drinks was bought for all the teams last night.. Payout this year (in cash) is over 8 grand.. I would challenge you to find any boat race in the country that does all of that for their teams and staff.

RD

Nice job RD!

Sorry I was forced to miss it!

I shot most of the boat stuff with my 70-200 f2.8. The wide shots are with my 16-35 f2.8

ok thanks. amazing shots. Mine didn't turn out like yours. I'm just running a Canon 55-250mm F4.0. Does ok but quality not there.

Were you standing by the docs near Badenoch's ?

my place is down river from Badenochs about 1/2 of a mile. Looks like you had a much better viewing point of getting the boats head on. Going to invest in a F2.8 zoom lens soon. Just was looking at them on Amazon and going for $1400!

That dock up river from badnochs is an awesome spot. Super close. And yes the bitchin glass is pricey! I have about a $20k wish list haha

wow! I have a couple 2.8 lenses that I love but they pretty both are very wide angle, and that's what I shoot most of the time. Thanks for all the info.

That's why he was black flagged. They flagged him and he didnt stop. Then they shot a flare right across his now and he still didnt stop. Then they sent a rescue boat and caught him and pulled him over and he still didnt stop.. Lol. Then they shot another flare and skipped it right next to him. He's on the trailer now, but I think he might get kicked out of the pits etc.. Schatz is pretty pissed..

Was it the Boston Whaler?

Congrats to everybody that raced or had something to do with putting this event on. It`s a big job doing any racing event. I know because i have done it many times. I also had lots of help and without them it would not happen.

Question: Is there an entry list anywhere with a break down of classes and where they placed?

What a complete fucking nitwit. This is a race, as a driver you are to be fully aware of your surroundings, most importantly course flaggers. This complete oblivious attitude is a danger to anyone else on the course, including safety officials.

Not sure of the accuracy of this, but was told it was the one and only Jim Rich......
