Paradise Valley speed camera got my wife - any options

Wife was in PHX end of a June. CA DL
Just got mailed a speeding ticket from one of those speed cameras (side of road).
besides just paying and maybe traffic school, any options

Throw it in the trash, if you don't respond, they will eventually need to serve you the ticket in person. That won't happen if you live in Cali.
I went thru this twice with my daughter when she was going to ASU, and her car was registered to me.

I got a CA violation for eluding to pay toll. They wanted $45 plus the toll
I told them I wasn't eluding anything. Lane wasn't marked for the booth and you can't go back
Sent them 3 bucks anyway with the dispute and never heard back
CA can't do anything to AZ driver's license so I've been told.
Not sure if it goes the other way.

I just went in last Sat to get an AZ ID. I live in So Cal. Guy says you have been flagged for a violation you received so you have to clear that up first. I said I received a seat belt violation 15 years ago pulling out of Blue Water that I took care of. I asked WTF do I need to do? He said you need to pay a reinstatement fine or something like that. I said how much? He said $10.00. I was like let do that now. He goes…Sure. He says…good thing you didn’t get pulled over with this over your head . Fkn Stupid. Got my ID in the mail 5 days later

Yea… I did that. 8 years later it caught up to me. Cost me an 8 hour class and nearly $850.

They are unconstitutional imo and to the city of mesa…suck my sweaty balls!

Ignore it. I only say this about out of state plates for tickets in Paradise Valley.

I got a ticket there on camera about 18 months ago and researched it. They do send marshals to serve you but not out of state.

They will send a ticket / bill and ask you to sign away your rights. Agreeing that even though a person didn’t give you the ticket you still agree to pay it and admit guilt.

If you have not been served within 90 days of ticket being sent (not date of incident) Paradise Valley purges the tickets from their files.

I wrote about this when I got my ticket awhile ago and posted some links that spell this out from AZ - I don’t have the link now but possibly you can find my old post with the links in it??

They will send a ticket / bill and ask you to sign away your rights. Agreeing that even though a person didn’t give you the ticket you still agree to pay it and admit guilt.

They will also try to bait you in by showing you a grainey, blurry picture of what may be your face.
If you go to the website out of curiosity to see if it is actually you and click on it, it now becomes an official acknowledgement of having been digitally served.
You will also see all the rest of your photos that are/were in extremely high resolution all along. Nothing but shady, unconstitutional revenue generation aka, theft by extortion.
Do NOT go to their website ever!

I would not answer the door for 4 months to strangers, and not worry about it.

It’s a scam. Don’t fall for it. Pretend you never got it in the mail.

I have found that when I carry my jet ski to ca and tailgate is down the camera won’t pick up the plate and az only issues a rear.

Same as when I carry the ski on hitch hauler it won’t catch it. I have tried to pay but plate didn’t get picked up.

But I will say it picked up my boat trailer and that plate was low left and it got it.
