Vegas is supposed to get a bigger Aussie style one at some point too supposedly . A few of my buddies from here at the beach flew to Waco for a day and said that one was OK . The more the better if they are fun and contribute to the death of wake "surfing"

I was part of that never ending project, lol
i built the 4 spas around the wave pool, and the play pool, and extended lazy river
i can tell you why there’s a wall at end of wave pool, lmao
first test wave was 12-15ft tall went out of pool entire length, filled spas, and dumped right out the end of the pool into the landscape 100ft or so. It’s a slope so water with landscape and soils all dumped right back into the just finished pool. Ooooooops

I redid half the park back in 2007 when it was knotts wet n wild. Cool to see it being rebuilt.

Wave pool price to ride is beyond the average guys wage 200.00 per hour per person is last I heard.

I saw “One Million Years BC”, a movie with a young Raquel Welch, at that O’side drive in theater. A very memorable experience. . . . Tough act for that Wave Park to try to beat. Welch’s name in that movie was ‘Loana’. But, it always sounded like she was saying, ‘Ya Wanna?’. Obvious answer was, Hell Yes!

I grew up in Budapest where we had many pools with waves, built in the early 1900. Gellert was one of my favorite.

Palatinus was the one I spent countless times. Until World War II, the large pool was the largest in Europe. The spa, open air bath and wave bath, now open all year round with 15 pools, offers a colorful range of spa and wellness treatments.
