They are probably a little less than 4'....this looks like warehouse racking that typically gets pallets stacked in them.......pallets are typically 44"x48" and they overhang a little on these when stacked long ways...

Typical depth of Frame is 42", we design big warehouse storage systems. Your common Pallet is 42x48" leaving 3" front/rear overhang, most typical beam is 96" wide which is what this looks like. You could add 2 wire decks per beam level for $15-18 per wire deck. Nice size Beams look to be 4", 3 Pin.
