well I painted my boat on the weekend. I was going to go all viper red but decided on doing some graphics. I picked the colours out and held all the colour chips together and after 4 hours of pre masking i had it done.

when I was done with the 3 layers of clear I was having second thoughts.
every body at work that seen it thinks it looks awesome but id like some schiada boaters opinion.

Hey that looks nice, good job dude sometimes less is more :thumbsup. Kinda of reminds me of the graphics on the ZZ TOP '34 3 window coupe on the album cover.

I really like the look you did a great job I like clean simple lines and it is perfect in my opinion. I wish I could paint like that I am envious.

thank you...as far as rigging im keeping the fe and building a stringer frame. And Im changing out the 9 brass strut and fins for a 8* steel strut and a drop through fin. Oh and i installed a blast plate and have a 10' steering post so ill be sittin back by the engine.

Wow is right, that looks fantastic. Did you put new stringers/floor in your boat or just rework what you had, again that looks outstanding keep up the great work.:thumbsup

Everything looks really good. :thumbsup

If I was you though, I would change those little turnbuckles to new ones with a little more beef on them. I wouldn't want to see your nice cav plates get dinged up from broken turnbuckles :grumble:

thanks for the complements everyone! Yup I changed all the old rotten stringers and floor for new stuff. If I knew how much work it was going to be it would have had a date with the sawzall haha. But its going to be worth it in the end and the boat should last another 40 years!
