I would add 2 more of the Bumper Buoys for that length of Boat. I have 2 throw cushions.....chances are when you need those its in an emergency for somebody. One for you and one for the person you are rescuing. In an emergency I don't think you are going to want to find your jacket and sit there and buckle up when every second counts or somebody is going under. I keep those things in arms reach on my boat because you just never know. That's just me though....

I like to keep trash bags on board. Also a cheap bathroom throw rug or two to put where people might step while boarding or loading.

Make that 2 fire extinguishers
Add a flashlight and a spot light
I would have a life Jacket for every seat u have. Then u never have to worry about having enough.
We keep towels on the boat, some for people to sit on and some to wipe down stuff.
I have two slide anchors, alot easier to use in shallow water than a box anchor. Also have the danik hooks for them, makes life easy.

For the tie downs on the back, have Bob or Extreme bolt them on the trailer. Makes it way easier than messing around with the regular ones. Also, get a power air pump for any inflatables you or the kids will use, easier than manually pumping up your tubes or floats. Lastly, keep cleaning products, rags, drive oil, and engine oil on the boat at all times. Never know when a bird will shit on the upholstery and you don't want to get caught far from a marina if you are low on any of the fluids. Learned my lesson on that one.

Get a tether ball and some rope to attach onto the box anchor so when you take off from your spot you can hook back up without having to pull the anchor and resetting it again.

we have a wash station on the front but last weekend i saw a guy that had a big plastic storage container that he filled up with a little water and put at the front of the boat as a little foot wash before you got on board. thought that was pretty smart.

Even though your boat has built in coolers, get at least one soft sided cooler from shockwave. They use the good brand and they'll embroider their logo and your name or whatever else on them.

I 2nd the bolt on ratchet straps for the trailer. You can see them on Scotts build thread on his new trailer, and he had them on the one I picked up from him. Super convenient.

Shockwave will probably hook you up with some product upon delivery but if they don't, message me and I'll send out a bottle of Hot Sauce on us. Just promise to have fun your first day out and not follow passengers around wiping up every fingerprint on the new toy, nobody likes that guy ;)

I have a box anchor, and it works well. I also have two slide anchors, that i prefer to use in shallow water, beaches, sand bars etc.

so being that we are in havasu and whenever we decide to stop will probably be in shallow water should we do the slide?

Get one of these and charge it up before each river trip - there's no worse feeling after hanging out in a cove all day listening to your tunes and around dusk you go to start you boat and it goes "click, click".

if you use the havasu supplied trash bags they have positioned around the lake make sure you turn them inside out. The Blue ink logos on the out side will bleed. Bitch getting it off interior.
get a beach umbrella, spike style.

It's all about preference, and the area. Start with one box and a slide. Then maybe you'll think to yourself shit I wish I had two slide anchors, or maybe u won't.

nothing like throwing without being able to retrieve
also attach whistle's to your throw cushion's, distress signal compliant

Definitely do one of each. And do a soft side cooler as someone else mentioned.

I would suggest 1 or 2 of the small jump packs instead of a big old school one. Smaller, lighter, can be used to charge many things, and with the better lithium battery tech, they hold a charge better and are typically much more reliable.

For me, I'm even cheaper and more reliable. I just carry one of these. 😉

I tried one of the zero gravity style jumpers and it didn't work, that's why I suggested the big one. Plus the little ones don't work on diesels either, in case the truck battery(ies) crap out.

I would ditch the big orange life jackets. Get ones that actually fit the family and work well. They will take up less space and you'll feel more secure while wearing them. Don't cheap out on something designed to save your life...

Get longer dock lines - 15 ft is way too short.

I would do a minimum of 25 ft. I would also get a minimum of 6 lines - you will need springs lines if the dock cleats don't line up directly with the cleats on the boat.

I would also add a line at least 50ft for the slide anchor in case you want to drop the box anchor off the stearn and then run a line to shore for the spike. On a rocky bottom you may not want to beach the boat but rather keep the boat off the shore.

Congrats on the new boat!

Towels for your seats..........A boater told me "white" towels so they can be bleached when cleaning. Its been great and now keep about 6 in the boat. Hate cleaning sunscreen off seats and this helps.

o no doubt we all will have our own personal vests but considering its a deck and the fact we could possibly have 10-12 on the boat we gotta abide by the law.
