So we are up in the redwood and there is this noise that happens every night.. it almost sounds like a goose honking out in the Forrest..

I was originally thinking maybe it’s bucks sharpening their antlers on the trees? But the more I think about it, I don’t think that’s it..

Wtf is it? Curiosity is killing me now…

Don’t know but are you going to post any pics of those giant trees? Always wanted to go up that way.

Snipe. They don't eat much, I wouldn't worry about it.

Deer scraping his antlers sounds a lot different than a goose honking! LMAO!!! Fucking city slickers! 🤣

And an eliminator sounds different than a hallet (even with the same motor packages).. and a magic sounds different than a nordic..

And a can am sounds different than a Polaris, and a teryx sounds different than a rhino.. and an ar sounds different than an ak lol

We live in the desert/river.. we don’t have trees..and noises like this. Lol.

It’s like a muted horn type sound out in the trees. It moves around through the Forrest. Maybe some type of bird?

This isn’t a bullfrog.. lol. It’s out in the Forrest away from the river.. probably 100 yards back and moving around?
I was thinking some sort off frog also. They have tree frogs up there. I grew up with a pond, and lots of little lakes, and it sounds like some sort of frog to me.

My wife doesnt thinks its bigfoot. LOL.@he watches all the bigfoot shows.

Ask @dread Pirate he lives up there.

It sounds an awfully lot like the mating call of a Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus. Until recently they were mostly found in the Washington/Oregon area but there have been quite a few sightings lately where you are right now.

Sounds like Elk off in the distance. Reminds me of the Burros when I’m out on the lake.

If you are in the Redwoods off 101 in any of the State Parks or Campgrounds, the South Fork Eel River is never more than a few hundred yards away, since it runs under and around the 101 through the Redwoods from Willits to Eureka. All sorts of nocturnal animals make their homes in the Redwoods, I can't hear shit at work but will listen to your recording when I get home tonight, that's where I grew up.

Dave, you know not to leave ANY food or ice chests out at night, right?

If the bears can see it (let's say you put an ice chest in the toad), they will rip your car apart to get to it.

Bears know all too well that an ice chest means FOOD!!!

Leave nothing out that smells at night in the woods.

There’s bears out here? 🤪🤪

There’s a reason I brought a .45 instead of my usual .38
