175 Optimax? I think you stayed at my neighbors house in the keys recently. Really clean boat. I like the little hatch behind the seat.

I chose the 175 because its almost 90lbs lighter than the 200. The boat runs great with it. It's like a new boat!

I saw you go by pulling doubles. Obviously it has plenty of power to ski and do whatever you want.

^^ That's a great looking boat!

How about the 20' center steer that was at the regatta?? That was a beautiful boat too!!

^^^^^^ I second that it has always been one of my favorite 20' RT. LaveyNick how did it run with the setup he had?

Nicks uncle did a lot of work to this boat. It was "Simonized" when he picked it up and ended up putting a new powerhead on it shortly after... it seemed like he could never fully get it dialed in. One of the best riding and driving boats I've been in and REALLY surprised how it handled big chop! I'm more interested in hearing what it did when OD1 tested it with the 300.

Thanks WildHorses I would like to hear how it turned out as well. I am in between boats right now and a 20RT will be my next boat. I know I will probably be waiting a while to fined one and I still kick myself in the A*% :grumble: for not buying this one when I came up for sale.

Very trick. Have to ask what the two pedals and the floor joy stick are used for? Pretty cool transom tie-in system. :thumbsup

Anybody know whatever happened to this boat? I can't remember if it was this Schiada or the Vector that went overseas?

left pedal pushes the cav plates on the back of the boat down. the handle is a lock out handle so you can set them in a position but override them further with the pedal of you like. Much more efficient then tabs because you are actually bending the running surfaces of the boat.

The twin outboard Schiada is still here in the states.
You are thinking of the Rex Marine twin outboard vector that went overseas. It went overseas, got re-rigged with twin 300's, then last I saw it was sitting at the Bernico Boats warehouse in Belgium with no motors on it in a field.

Got to find her a new home eventually since I don't use her after buying a twin outboard Team Scarab 31' by Larry Smith.

I dont know that I've seen a 21 rc or rt with a short shaft engine on it? Can a 15" mid work on the 21's?

2005 21’ RT with an RC Top. Only two of these have been made, with this being the last one built. Mercury 300x with DBR Kit. 140 original hours soon to be re powered by a 300R.

That is about the perfect 21 foot boat. I always wondered if the RC deck would fit on an RT hull. I had a mod-v Eliminator that I loved, and a Schiada 20 that I loved, and a combination of the two is my dream boat.

I don’t think so. I have a 15” mid on my 20 and my well is cut down to fit it.

By the looks of it, the RT hull seams to work best over the RC hull when it comes to outboards?? Has anyone been in both to compare?

RT: Better top speed due to "floating" out of the water. (Less water friction from the tunnels)
RC: Better handling / turning / splits choppy water better

What top mph can you get out of your set up?
