With AZ off tomorrow, Doyers can blow another game and take a sweep from the worst team in bball (oh wait....the worst team is SF) at tomorrow mornings game.......and bring down the house and the West with the clinch on Friday against the real worst team in bball and #1 rival. Don't be.....read my above post.....these games are meaningless....as long as we keep home field advantage....Roberts is just running through the roster, giving guys their final shot to make the cut, in the meantime giving the first string a lil rest to be ready for October. You want momentum and your fans behind you. I don't think that's the case. I think they are playing badly and need to figure it out quick. Leaving those runners stranded isn't good

As soon as Roberts runs out with the best squad on the roster, it will change. He's been playing from the bench. Guys that have been seeing play time recently will not be the starting rosters during playoffs. Shit, Ethier started the other day for example. Various guys from the bullpen, etc. We'll have plenty of time to pickup momentum with a series at home with SF, SD, and finish in Colorado. A good finish with a "potential" post season team they could actually face.

I think the talent in the bullpen is deep....probably the best it has been in recent years. It's just a matter of if the machine is gonna run without any bumps or not. The down slope can only last so long. I like our chances. Post season is a whole other monster to begin with. If we get beat, we get beat. As long as we don't flop.

Not necessarily intentional, but when you're not running out there with your best of the best, you're not exactly playing with your best chance to win. There's a mixed agenda imo. I'll worry more about the flopping in October when it's go time.

I agree.....but once the rosters get downsized, there is gonna be either Wood, Ryu, or Maeda at your disposal for middle relief. All can go multiple innings.....in addition to your regular bullpen guys. The starters need to be on a short leash imo. Kershaw included.

Maeda only went 3......gave up 2 runs....no biggie. Went right to bullpen. I'm telling you......just working the roster. Ethier just tied it up in the 7th with a homerun. That's the stuff we need to see from him so he can make the playoff roster.
