Pulled the plug on the onstar deal yesterday.....now I'm thinking about doing the same to SiriusXM. XM is costing almost $300 a year for music and news. I can cut the music out keep the news and cut the bill in half.......use the phone for my music most of the time. If I drove everyday it might be different but I might go to town once a week. Now I need to figure out how to get my wife over her DISH addiction.

When the free Sirius sub ended after 3 months on the wife's new ride I switched to the $6. per month plan online.

All handled by Ai, when prompted "reason for cancelling" I just typed in "too expensive" and the $6. plan was offered.

easy.

I had SiriusXM in my car and for the MH. Since I only drive the MH about 30 days a year, it was a waste. Dropped the MH radio. This still gives you access to SiriusXM in their phone app. As such, you really only need one radio active, and can Bluetooth from your phone using the app, to any other BT enabled radio. I want to say the Music and Entertainment package I have was $95/yr.

Honestly, I listen to Pandora way more, and it was $4/month. When Sirius runs out next August, I'll likely dump it and just use Pandora. The only time this doesn't work is when you lose cell service, but that's not often anymore.

I have the lifetime with Sirius. Got it when Howard went there. Glad I still have it. I haven’t listened to Howard in years and I don’t miss him. I use my app on my iPhone so it works great for me

A buddy of mine added me to his family Spotify account. Although I also have SiriusXM, I seem to listen to Spotify daily. I like that I can ask it to play songs from "10 Years After", or "Quicksilver Messenger Service" and it won't skip a beat. Try this with Sirius, it won't work.

Yeah, I'm old, so suck it!

Like mentioned, online chat, cancel due to "too expensive." They'll give an offer. If you decline that, usually next offer is 6-month term. Sometimes it's vise versa. They've played this game for easily 20 years running.

I cancelled altogether on my 2014 Sierra. Then waited. Wasn't long a 36 month offer was sent via email. $3.87/mo with taxes and royalty fees. Too good to pass up! I also have a 2nd vehicle subscription at $7.22/month all in fees for 12-mo term.

Thanks for the reminder. Just chatted online with Sirius XM and got my monthly subscription reduced to $6.99 per month from $23.50 for the next 12 months. (Something you have to do on a yearly basis is threatened to cancel otherwise they won't renegotiate) It's worth the 10 minutes to save $200 bucks a year!!!

If you don't get a satisfactory offer when threatening to cancel, make sure you are willing to actually shut it off. You will get better offers soon enough.
.
I've been on a Sirius Lifetime subscription for close to 20 years & 3 different radios now. I'm guessing I didn't pay more than a few hundred $ for it.

I recently shut my down when they would negotiate. Received a better offer via email 3 days later.

How do you know someone is over 50 without saying I am over 50?

Direct/Dish TV called, they want their Sirius satellite radio back…

I have XM in all six trucks. I do the package for 99.00 plus tax per vehicle and it gives me all the music and news I need. I don't worry about sports
