This is the truth as I've seen it. I have friends that are kind of in the same paygrade as I am, in the same industries I am familiar with. Supply chain for materials is sketchy in Europe and South America, and hearing the same coming from other places as well. Food will be the tipping point, when it becomes more obvious. Right now, there are spotty items in the grocery stores, but most are doing their best to hide it. Repair parts are weeks to months out for some things...

You guys should cut them all off yourself and use 3 bolt header flanges to swap out the cat for a straight pipe. Etch the license number of the truck on the cat that the cat came out of, a muffler shop won't do it but a mobile Welder will.

The question I have is will these modern cars run correctly without the catalytic converter‘s? Isn’t there an upstream and downstream O2 sensor or whatever? Serious question to anybody who knows because I certainly don’t.

The check engine light will turn on but no driveability issues, hell MPG might go up. You will have to clear the code and drive it 100-120 miles mixed (city/hwy) driving to reset the monitors.
