I am NOT the one/Ones Bitching about this Forever long Problem,as I would not Cruise the "Channel"as ther is no reason for it. I did state before if this bothers you this much, only several options = imo go Around, Go Through and Accept this might happen, Or Do something. I am only saying if it was this Important to me to See and Be Seen "In The Channel" I would Not Accept to get Hit in the Face with a Water Cannon and just Whistle Dixie the rest of the way through the Cruise.

And you let getting hit in the face ruin the rest of your day? If it hurt anyone on my boat, you can bet I’d put it in park at the nearest red wall and confront the individual with authorities along with me. If it was just surprise with no harm done, I’d continue on my day.

Any of you guys/gals wear contact lenses (hard or soft) ? Getting hit in the face with a stream of water can be blinding and painful and can cause the loss of the lenses which by the way can cost hundreds of dollars and if your the driver, now your vision is gone EVEN WITH SUNGLASSES ON. I haven’t seen much of a presence lately. Seems like the price to play with water cannons would bring the PD back in packs. One designated to scope it out, another to film it and 1-2 more to crank out the new instant tickets that print out your receipt and arrives in the mail 7 days later. Seems like it would be a sustainable model for the bigger weekends at $2500 a pop. Just my 2 cent observation

Back in the day you did not fuck with someone’s boat though. This went from water cannons to letting your off leashed dogs soak a boat down. LE back then let people handle their business without throwing everyone in jail either.

The one time I got nailed was not even in the main part of the channel. I was driving by the white beach area of Windsor. The guy was up to his neck in the water with the cannon under the water. As I drove buy he jumped out of the water and blasted me in the side of the head from a fairly close distance. It blew my sunglasses off of my face.

I beached my boat and immediately was surrounded by drunk guys wanting to fight. In the old days I would have jumped off of my boat and thrown down with water cannon asshole. After spending a couple days in jail and 3k in fines and lawyer fees for simply defending myself, I don’t fuck around in Havasu anymore. It’s a circus out there and you are rolling the dice getting involved in any conflict.

I simply put my bag on my seat with my Glock in it and warned the douche bags that I would defend my wife and myself with appropriate force if they attempted to get onto my boat. I told my wife to start filming the shit show and we called LE. Havasu PD showed up and just gave a verbal warning.

I do my best to not go into the channel on weekends in the summer but sometimes we are meeting people or have guests that want to see the bridge. There is no reason it should be a no go zone.

The no water cannon law on the books should be enforced, but they really need to go after dumb fucks that are trying to start fights by targeting people in boats at close range. That is not the same as kids playing around trying to just spray you from a distance.

I have a friend that now works for LHCPD, and according to him they are going to crack down on this issue. We will see what happens.
