Hopefully a return to old school teaching. It may be home school, private, collective and small group. Those that got into teaching for the love of the job, the teaching of real world knowledge and not indoctrination, want out of the government run business. It's on the rise. Those who are tired of the fights with school boards, elected by those that don't pay property taxes, are simply leaving with their kids.

That is a nice fish. À little bigger than my lucky catch.
It certainly wasn't skill. Wow!
Well done.
Dang, I was kinda digging the top of page 164, figures you had to go and post something and start a new page, thanks a lot Wedgy...! 🍻

It's ALWAYS the Tilesetter's fault.. 🤣

The Captain had had enough of the Sea Lions/Seals? stealing and mangling everyone's catch. Not huge fish, but nice.
We were laughing at the hotshot Mexican San Diego crews, all my former Apprentices, pulling up half a fish or just a head.
He put it in drive and absolutely did NOT bear down hard not in the least, nor in the direction of the fish, all the while leaning out of the helm, yelling at me, "REEL BOY!! REEL!!!!!!:D That I did do, and with a deckhand at my side so I didn't blow it, We managed to land the fish. Minus only a chunk out of the tail!! Best trip ever. Right outside a ways off of San Elijo. Tile Trends took us out on a trip at least once a year, mostly out of the San Diego Landings. Thanks Carl! RIP.

When we loaded up in Dana Point before the trip, Carl Peters was watching the crew load, dollying up the liquid beverages to the boat. After only a couple full dolly's of beer, he ask the Kid, "Is that all the beer you are going to load up?" "Yes Sir." Carl replies, "Oh no Son, you turn right around and bring us back at least 10 more full loads...:D
We drank every beer, soda, water, ate every sandwich, bag of chips, and every candy bar on that boat. 😁

On the dock in Dana Point, we were all lined up ready to board, only about half of the motely Tile crews were experienced fishermen. The Captain leaned out of the helm, sizing us all up and said, "Well now, whada we have here? Whadya all do, form a line at K-Mart???:D🤣🤣🤣

My old captain taught me a trick on handling seals and sea lions hanging around the boat, stealing your fish. We'd bring a dozen or two habaneros out with us and stuff them into the bait we were using - squid, mackerels, whatever - then toss them out to the circling dogs. It would usually only take one before they headed off to terrorize a different boat. Much more civilized than relying on the paintball gun in a rolling sea.

Dude- did you miss the title of this thread? “On a lighter note….”
If you want to push this nonsense I suggest, actually I’m begging you, to start your own thread for this crap.
If you truly want to make your RDP experience immeasurably better, use the 'Ignore' feature.
After 16 years of my participation on RDP, he holds the distinction of being the only member I've found it necessary to eliminate by using this option.
It not only eliminates his initial post, but any quotes --- Poof, vanquished 😁🥳👏

Haha I think he does post some good content that I don’t want to miss but the far out conspiracy theories IMO don’t belong in a political jokes and memes thread

Is this a recent decision, sure seems you've done your share of responding.🤣

I can think of a few much more deserving of the ignore button. Infact never even crossed my mind with Marion.

I respect that other members find him tolerable, some amusing, others entertaining, and most seriously concerning, there's some who actually agree with him.

My vote was unanimous, push the Red Button and simply make him disappear 👍😁
