Amazing, How many more things could they have possibly gottten wrong on that car.
So it's all back together and running but this clutch feels like chit!
Someone welded a nut on the bellcrank, and I'm guessing in the wrong place.
I ordered all new clutch parts from Brewers performance.com to hopefully get the geometry right.
Nice stuff!

Hey cool, I was JUST looking for this thread to ask about an update.
I love me some RB Mopars.
Say it aint so....I'm putting a Dakota Digital in it now too. The part should be here on Monday...
If your friend, the customer, is happy, then it works out. Sometimes buyers get blinded by their dream or memory of a car they had. They don't buy for investment, they buy for want. If he has now what he wanted, you did really goodWell...
Everything is finally done.
I had to fix so many things on this car it's hard to remember em all! I still feel bad for my friend on this deal.
But now he has the car he always wanted. A dependable driver that everything works. We put the Dakaota Digital in, cause half of his gauges didn't work, so now he can see what's going on with his engine.
It is a super fun car to drive....

Well...
It is a super fun car to drive....
Well.....I mean its a big block Mopar three pedal car.....did you think it wouldn't be?
If you would have kept the 6 pack intake...it would have been another animal.
Yeah. It woulda ran like shit, just like they did brand new.
Now it's a car with great drivability and is actually usable. Not an ill mannered pos.
To some people, ill mannered is fun. A nasty cam, 850 and a clutch is fun, just not everyday. Just something about a big inch, big cam car that makes me smileYeah. It woulda ran like shit, just like they did brand new.

When and if I hit 70, I'll probably want to ditch the stuff as well. It's great that he is driving it...hell with the kids, they can get their own! As long as the guy who writes the check is happy, that's all you can ask for. I've done air bags, hydraulics and some stupid big lifts. If my bills were paid and they were happy to give me the money, everybody winsAll true.
In this case though, this customer is 70 plus years old and has driven the car 600 miles in ten years Because it was so undrivable.
His adult kids have been begging him to let them drive it, but he knew that wouldn't go well.
He wanted to be able to drive the car and let his kids drive it as well.
He called me yesterday after driving it all weekend and thanked me for giving him exactly what he's always wanted the car to be.
Mission accomplished.
