Last night was interesting.
Costas has an eye infection and looks like lap puppet Charlie McCarthy.

Shawn White quit one event and that was chickenshit to do that at the last minute, someone else could have come in his place for that event.

Most noticeable are the commercials. They are as interesting or more interesting that those of the Super Bowl.

ABC always did the best Olympics,, maybe NBC can improve on their past attempts.

NBC and their affiliates will not show the bad side of Sochi.

NBC coverage sucks. I was up last night with the kiddo for her 2am feeding, figured I could watch some odd ball event or maybe qualifying rounds of something live. Not a freaking thing on any of the NBC feeds except the T25 insanity work out infomercials.

ABC at least covered events live, even if it was in the middle of the night for us.

I don't know where you live but here in Phoenix there was live coverage on NBC all night long. The time difference makes for all the live stuff in the middle of the night. I know USA women's hockey was on live and snowboard slope style was live on NBC. Also there was live coverage on nbc sports on direct tv channel 220.... I do believe nbc sports has committed to 18 hours a day coverage of the winter Olympics.

I'm the kind of guy that turns the TV on as soon as I get up, and don't turn it off until bedtime - whether I'm in the room or not. But, I have a whole house sound system so I can listen.
I was really looking forward to having Olympics on 24/7.

That event used to be held OUTSIDE in real conditions.

Same thing when they were running moguls, once again inside.
