I've always had a soft spot for Scarabs. The problem is, that boat is going to weigh a TON! They laid them up thick and heavy back in the day. Even with all that HP, it still might only be a 65-70mph boat.

For double the money, you get a much newer boat with that Baja. It's probably a lot lighter, more efficient, but has less HP.

Both are cool older resin buckets. 👍

The hardware and set-up seems much more offshore friendly with the Scarab than the Baja. Plus, I think the look of the Scarab is just so much more appealing than the Baja. To me at least.

The Baja wishes it was a resin bucket.

Always loved old Scarabs. Love to have a 38 AVS. Early 90'sI had a black and red 30 panther with big scarab down the side and tiger valuer interior. I would troll the channel with it. I used it at Roosevelt Lake as well. It was ridiculously heavy and so was the trailer with a staircase upfront. It taxed my new F350 crew cab gas motor truck big time. It was a cool ass wave crusher.
