Mine's certainly tried --- but each time screaming "WTF", smashing my right foot hard on the go pedal while hitting the cancel button overrode the dumb-ass sum-bitch.
Have you pursued this with a service dept ? Mine's still covered by a Ford ESP, so I'll be getting it addressed soon. I'm hoping they're familiar with the problem, otherwise I'm sure I'll get the infamous blank stare, along with "Oh, never heard that before", followed up with "Can Not Duplicate" 🤬

Won't do any good. The system just does it .

Wifeys new x-5E pretty much drove her from HB to Vegas. I tried it, Worked exceptionally well. And it has massage seats, now all I have to do is find that exact seating position to get a woody.

I set mine on “near “ otherwise on a curve if there’s a vehicle in the other lane the godamn brakes hit and scares the crap out of you because it thinks it’s in front of you. Happens a lot on the hill between Bullhead and Golden Valley. Rte. 68
I have also had the opposite happen, made a left turn with the adaptive cruise on, car accelerated like a MOFO once the car in front of me turned, that was a shocker.

I had a rental car with it didn’t like it. Hated the braking that came with it etc.

Before this i was only familiar with standard cruise and thought that the adaptive might be great in more traffic varying speeds but I changed my mind.

Have the adaptive cruise in the Benz. Also has a great feature that tracks eyes so if I try to get distracted on tiktok it starts beeping at me and shuts off. So for those “omg you’re not paying attention” boomers out there, doesn’t really work like that.
So then why have it at all? Just put your foot on the gas pedal and your hands on the steering wheel. What the fuck else do you do with your hands when you're sitting in the driver's seat?

Well @boatpi mentioned something about a woody from the massage seats. I don’t think i need to draw you a picture.

Jesus dude, you don't have to be so mad about everything. It's actually kind of handy, especially on the freeway where traffic is flowing but speeds are varying a little bit.

I have the adaptive cruise in the new 3500, it's pretty cool. I'm still looking straight ahead, hands on the wheel, and ready to adjust speed as needed. But letting it do its thing is pretty neat to see, considering that if you drop the ball it will brake as needed then emergency brake all the way down to zero if necessary.
