You know what’s funny in 1996 I worked in Congressman Henry Bonilla office with the help of Congressman Sonny Bono kept Mexican whole avocados out of the us due to Mexican avocado being infested with a certain pest. The price we paid for avocado grown in the us was pennies then compared to dollars now and very few growers survived the lifting of that ban in the US today. Just like cheap Chinese imports destroy American industries with cheap imports until Chinese imports do not have to compete then junk import prices go threw the roof

Fallbrook (down her in SD County) was once the avocado capitol of the world before Mexico started undercutting them. Fuck Mexico! I am surrounded by avocado groves. Maybe we can Make American Avocados Great Again!
