My buddy and captain of the hallett 210 didn’t make regi for the event, but we shot up river earlier Friday, and we said to ourselves...”man, it’s dead out here.” Minutes later, the stampede began. What a showing. We were the purple and checkered 210 parked at the gorge if anyone saw us.

I might sound crazy, it’s been a long weekend, but you can feel sincerity in a wave, and the entire weekend, hallett owners were genuinely going out of there way, letting you know they wanted to say hi.

We saw you as we went through. Registered or not you should followed us up to Pirates. Good time for sure.

No idea how many of you there were but there was a bunch.
I can hear boats running north from inside my house, got woke up guessing around 8:30am Sat morning (fri nite was a late nite) to a lot of boat noise. By the time I got up and made my way to the window there was a shit ton of you guys headed north. Looked like a good group

I believe there were 95 or so boats registered.

Not the words I would have used for that part of river this weekend.

So we had an anonymous donation on the behalf of the boating community to say a prayer and set a reef at the accident site of the tragic event that took place over Labor Day. Here are a few photos from tommy gun images ..

I really enjoyed the weekend. Thanks @Hammer for the event and all the work your family put into it. I've never boated at Havasu so I had a great time getting to know the lake and layout of coves, bars, river, beaches, etc. I met a lot of great people and saw some fantastic boats. Pride of ownership is very prevalent among Hallett owners, that's for sure. Very impressive boats. I look forward to next year to see you all again and meet more Hallett friends.

Friday morning. Woke up for sunrise at 5:50am so took a few pics. Then rather than wake everybody up by going for a cruise, I decided to give the engine bay a wipe down instead.

My only pic from Saturday. After a last and final cruise of the channel, we pulled boat out at 3pm. This is at Tommy's in Barstow on the way home.

Washed and detailed on Monday, ready to be tucked away until next season.

Only regret was not ever really opening it up all the way. Had some good runs but never really all out. Well, there's always next year. Now to put a list of winter projects together.

Again, nice to meet those who I did, you and your boats were the highlight of my trip. I look forward to seeing you next year.

What a sweet set up boat...Just my reply, but I would have to think that the plates on the back are the way to go..and also think that that is a very stable boat....she sure looks good!!

Kudos to Hammer and Brie! [emoji109]

Great weekend. Met people from all over; Illinois, Colorado, Utah, etc. Already looking forward to next year. Lake Mead could be terrific.

Didn't get many pics. Too busy driving miles & miles.[emoji106] Really unique boating experience.

It still looks as good as the 1st time I saw it!

Oh and don't you know that Sep and Oct are the best boating months of the year. No reason to be tucking her in just yet.

Thank you sir. And yes, I do know, that's why I'm going to Lake Powell Challenge on Thursday. This year though, the wife is coming so we have to take "her" boat, which is NOT the Hallett.:D

We have a ton of photo's and coverage coming up shortly.. The article should be up today / tomorrow.

I wasn't able to attend all of the event because of personal matters, but the parts that I did go to (Breakfast / Pirates) my hats are off to Mike & Brie!! They really put a lot of effort into this and it showed. I wasn't at the Nordic party, but everyone I talked too on Saturday said it was first class, and that Nordic / Hallett went all out to make everyone feel welcome!

95 registered boats.... That's one hell of an accomplishment Hammer! Not to mention I met guys from all over the country as well that came! Just awesome.

Have a blast...but that still leaves a good 6 or so weeks to boat in the Fall.

That’s Sean Kelly’s boat 270 w quad rotor set up (Skav on here )

I think you got the wrong boat. That’s my brother and I’m pretty sure there’s nothing that special in that pig.

Jdunn do you have any close pics of your cavitation plates? Are they recessed into the bottom of the hull? How are they controlled?

Yes it’s right, just missed an e in your last name, lol
The red haired lil lady gives it away, lol

And yes it’s a pig of a boat, rotors on a 22re Toyota ain’t doing much in a 270
Really doesn’t matter what he’s got if he can’t keep the spline in the drive from turning into twizzlers, lmao

I told him to stop running 5blades and go to a 3 blade[emoji6]
I’m surprised he can twist a shaft with a 17p[emoji848]

I was talking with John, the production manager, at the gathering Friday night and asked about the Vector. He said they actually have the first one in many years in mold right now and is being built for a current Vector owner. It will have the new composite stringers and latest technology in build components. The buyer had planned to strip out his current Vector, replace all floors, etc. So they figured to put together a package to build a new hull and de-rig the current engine/drive (it's an I/O) and some parts to use on the new one. He said it is a neat project to incorporate some new techniques with such a classic hull.

I encouraged him to share the process online. Should be interesting.

I think the all red Vector @Cartozian (#215) is one of the most recent Vector built?

Should have, but I didn't ask about cost or timing. He just said that it "made sense" for the owner to go with the new hull, rather than the work to redo the old one. Not sure what that means, probably different to each person. I am guessing someone could reach out to John and ask him to put some progress pics up on RDP.

Hey Kevin it’s a 2000 with 500efis and Bravos Running 26 4 blades. I wanted to check out your 270. I told a friend of mine to contact you about purchasing. Was looking for your exact boat and couldn’t find anything at the time ended up with the 340 and absolutely love it!

I do not have any close up pics handy. They are flush, so recessed into the bottom of the hull. They are independently moved by electronically controlled actuators that sit on top of each stringer next to the engine. I'll let you know next time it's at Brummett's and you can swing by and take a look. They actually need to be re-anodized, not sure if I'll do that this off-season or next.

So they don’t pivot, they flex? Basically adding a hook?

I’m very curious on the set up... when I get up to speed and drop my tabs to settle it down, it will scrub quite a bit of speed.

Correct, they don't pivot, they flex. Like cav plates on flatty's, but huge-er, like much huge-er!:D I think they're actually bigger than my swim steps.

If you follow "From the Mold" a few sections down, most Nordic builds are put in there (especially if they are something different or bad ass)

Like JDunn said, mine is a 300 with an open bow. Absolutely love it. Mine is a '99 with the same motor and drive package as yours. Have close to 800 hours on motors and boat and still going strong...knock on wood! If you ever see me on the water come check it out. I would love to check out your 340 as well. Best I have seen on GPS is 74.5, how about on yours?

Yea for sure!!! Love your boat. Mine hit 500hrs last weekend:) have to run mine wide open I’d say close to the same. The speedo will pass 70mph easy but haven’t checked it on GPS.
