Hey guys- just thought I would share a few pics of our recent trip.

Origin- Allentown, Pa.

Destination- Potter county Pa.

I know this may not compare to some of the epic 4 wheeling that you guys do out west but for this state this is about as good as it gets. At only 16.1 people per square mile, Potter county Pa is one of the most beautiful, unspoiled and least inhabited counties in Pennsylvania. We spent 4 nights camping at a campground where most of the campers this time of year are either there for 4-wheeling or star gazing. The elevation where we camped was around 2,400 ft. compared to Allentown which is only about 400’. We rode in the Susquehannock state forest which features over 265,000 acres of land. The trails are maintained by the DCNR through license fees. My buddy has been there a few times and is a pretty experienced off roader. He recently twisted my arm to get a machine and go with him. A Razor or other SXS would have been ideal but since I have some wooded acreage at home, I felt like more of a workhorse would serve me better overall so I put down some money for a Kawasaki Mule.

We always started out the day with a hearty breakfast. My bud was a master at cooking on the fire. I made the coffee- lol.

Taking the wife for a cruise and hoping she doesn't complain too much about her boobs bouncing around.

The area is loaded with furry creatures that sneak up to you at night. Other than campfires and a little cabin porch light the place is pitch dark. One came up behind my wife and I and was only about 8-10’ from us when she got the eerie feeling somebody was watching her.
This poor guy only had 3 legs. The word around the campground is that he has been captured and relocated a few times but keeps finding his way back there. He was tagged and the officials say he was likely born with only 3 legs. Bear are a game animal in Pa but I couldn’t shoot this guy.

After a long day of camping, even the dog was bushed.

I told my buddy he needs a picture of a naked women on the back of his trailer. That’s the kind of things I think of when I’m following somebody for nearly 4 hours.

The scenery is amazing! Are all the trails pretty smooth / graded roads like that?

Thanks!
Some are much rougher and have a lot of rocks. Also on the hills mostly there are little trenches diagonally across the road to make the water run off to the side. If you hit one of those going fast you will go flying and not in a good way.

The terrain in different parts of our beautiful country still amazes me. We travel full time so are seeing some very beautiful places. This is an area we had in our sights until this bullshit COVID hit. Hopefully next year the country will be in a better place and we can explore your neck of the woods.

I am in NY for work and have been doing some exploring on the weekend. Eastern PA / western NJ is some absolutely stunningly beautiful country - areas right around the Delaware River Valley. I don’t think Allentown is far from there. If they didn’t salt the roads out here and kill all the vehicles, I would consider PA for a permanent home.

haha- I actually do my boating on the Delaware river. Allentown Pa is actually too close to Philadelphia and New York city for my liking but it's home and I have a good job and family here so not going anywhere soon. Florida is a possibility after retirement in 8ish years.
