This will be a triple axle setup. They are 2000lb half axles. Decided to go with the 2000lb on this build after doing 3500lb half axles on that triple axle 22ft Vaughn trailer. That trailer suspension was rock solid lol
Do you know who carries these in stock ?

Started fitting this boat to the trailer and getting the bunks positioned. Calling it a night/morning 🤪

Had a trailer once that I could hear water sloshing, punched a few holes and epoxied the best I could.
Yeah lol. Water will find a way. Especially with lights cut into the frame there is no way to seal them 100%

Just got these photos today… pick up Monday from good ol’ Poncho, get wrapped in vinyl Tuesday with Rene in riverside , grab all interior then back to concept in AZ for final assembly once trailer is complete…. Maybe done in time for classic PB in May.

What have you been using for the jack on the front of the trailers?

Safe route would be 142 wheel but i see a lot of people have them.

571 looks good not a lot of reference pics out there.

Funny thing is ive been eyeballing similar wheels for the babes trailer too.

These are cool well built wheels I think by vision. I had a set of the black ones on my nova for a while. I saw a set of these polished ones in tripps on a smaller offshore boat a couple years ago. I can't remember if they forgot to tighten the lugs and lost one or it was the boat that went down industrial towards Windsor with no truck attached. Lol

Welding up all the bunk supports, welded and gusseted the mounting pads for the torsion axles. Going to make some adjustments to the two center crossmembers then weld them on for good. Should have the new wheels and tires soon to start mocking up the fenders and steps.

looks terrific! I wish i would have gone beefier with my prop guard as I get a little flex with boat off. The whole build is terrific!

Pretty typical flat stock bent for the back U and flat stock attached to a cross member forward, this was the original Photographic Trailer (that's what Spectra's came on) i We just cut everything off and used the frame and built off it. The prop guard was almost exactly like this but was built with some little channel. We talked about boxing it in with channel to match the trailer but we had a 3/8+ thick piece of flat stock sitting on the bench so we just used that. If you look at most trailers they are done this way, your cage is super strong and I have seen more like that in recent years, looks great.

Nice 👌
Yeah a lot of the older trailers are built with flat stock like Competitive trailers. I think they did it that way to build then faster.

The bad thing about competitive is that they used that prop guard to tie in the back end of the trailers and it was welded to some 3/16 steel... my first boat had a competitive trailer and we did a rebuild on it, i had it upside down on some 55 gallon drums and i cut the prop guard and the thing almost fell apart. Ya they looked nice but they were popping em out quick for sure.

This trailer is coming out sooo nice, I really like the engineering and attention to detail.

Where the heck were you 5 years ago when I needed a new trailer?

got the wheels and tires in today for this Schiada trailer build. The (2) sets of 10-3/4" fenders should arrive by Friday and then I'll measure them

up, cut, and weld them back together to the custom length I'll need

Well since the fenders I needed are not an option to purchase I ordered two sets of 10-3/4 x 72 fenders, cut and extended to the length I need. I wish I could get them in a smaller radius but I am stuck with what is available so I will make these work and trim them to fit once I get the steps fab'd up and everything mounted.
