Its just a wish list for the left. The only one coming is a mileage tax on electric cars. They have to fund the road maintenance.

The one I keep my eyes on is the reparations bullshit. I am for sure switching my residency if that one passes.

So it's only electric cars possibly getting taxed per mile?

They want EVs, but impose a tax on them to where they cost more to run than gas cars. Tax the people into submission. 🤡

The right focuses on incentivizing people and businesses to achieve a result, the left focuses on rules, penalties and hurdles. LOL even animal trainers know only the first way works.

That’s the goal. And they use tax money to subsidize EVs to get to the point they can tax you on them.

I am very curious how they would enforce an exit tax.
CDTFA. The California Dept of Revenue. The state taxing agency.

Like the IRS but at the state level. They would track you to your new place and file judgements, leans and garnishments against you.

Bastards!!

Were you moving your residency too? 😆

Speaking only for myself id be switching my residence to “The new America” because that is the definition of taxation without representation…. Which is kinda how America started isn’t it?

Law 1. Any mother fucker that supported that bullshit would be an endendtured slave for the first ten years to rebuild America the second time
Since they helped ruin it the first.

So I am unaware if any law that has passed yet that taxes mileage on vehicles? I know 1 or 2 has been proposed, but unaware of any passing yet, let alone being imposed.

I thought America was land of the free? Exit tax?😡🤪
They already try.
It took 2 full years after I moved, and multiple phone calls before CA stopped sending me delinquent vehicle registration notices…regardless of the fact that I retagged EVERYTHING including the boat and my DL to AZ the first week I lived here.
It took 3 full years to finally get the board of extortion to stop harassing me about differential taxation EVEN THOUGH I hadn’t had a 1099 income in years, and had changed all my addresses to AZ within hours of moving.
I finally had to talk to a very unsympathetic CA female tax Gestapo agent and went through the 3 years of bullshit CA Equalization forms to arrive at the sum of zero dollars owed. It’s the only way I could make it stop. Common sense and residency meant nothing to her.
I was in CA about 19 years. Most of it up North were you can’t really find a liberal.
But I swear, once you leave for a while it starts to sink in just what you were putting up with and not realizing it.
Any tax that will be avoided now is only a speed bump in their agenda.
We won’t even start with a 2A discussion.

I don't think its been passed yet. For retiring I am thinking of overseas now. If I have to leave before I retire it would be NV or AZ at first.

Funny you mention Gestapo because I was going to say it sounded like Nazi shit in my original post…

You’re assuming voting works , I have held the belief that it has been corrupted for many many years

It does not need to be corrupted. The stupidity in CA has been 40 years in the making. There is a D supermajority in the state.

CA also allows ballot harvesting in case they did need to cheat.

Have friends here now from San Diego. He wants to get out of there so bad, but can't because his wife's mom and dad are there. He works remote for a FL company.

I am not sure how I would handle that. He said "if I didn't have kids", but not sure if he meant it.

I too had the DMV issue. Unreal. "Where's my title?" "You needed to file a change of address." "I did. How you keep sending registration renewals to my new address. You have it already." "Well, you needed to file one for every vehicle..."
Went to Poway DMV this past March. "No duplicate title fee Sir. DMV screwed up..."

The Franchise tax board was far more problematic.

Letter: "You are delinquent on your taxes. You haven't filed a Ca. tax return, yet you pay a house payment on a California residence..." The Ex got the house in the divorce. OMG. What a PIA. Mailed them that info. "Insufficient. We need the entire divorce decree..." Mailed them that, followed up with a call. "Yes Sir, you are fine."

Ca. FTB did the exact same thing, 2 years later. Called, told them to get ready, load up the fax machine with ink and paper. Faxed my proof, again, plus all their correspondence from before, 27 pages. That shut them up... :D😂🤣🤣🤣

I dont get it.....

There's no need for these measures to attempt to discourage Californians from leaving...

Here it is....... straight out of the horses (Jack Ass) mouth.. .....

"Per capita, more Floridians move to California than California is moving to Florida," Newsom said when challenged on his state’s declining population.

So does this mean the states with the most people coming in are being polluted by "blue" people from the blue states or does it mean red states are becoming more red because they are getting more "red" people fleeing the other states that did not agree with them?

Interesting concept that could either be good or bad for red.

Most CA reds are blue in the state they migrate to.

On the average I’d say purple at best. For every red you have a blue who can’t afford CA but continues to vote for “CA like” policies.

If you really don’t like newsome, either get used to him or get out and support Trump because he’s being groomed to be the next president and finish this reset / US destruction .

I've always supported Trump and will continue to do so. 👍🏼
