My twins and one of their wives coming down Boyne Mountain last night. They shot fireworks once they get down the hill. Andy set up the 25. Happy New Year.

We have had nearly zero snow over here on the west side of the lake, just cold. Hasn't been above freezing for a week now.

Just got done plowing "nuisance" snow over here. Snows a little each day until it accumulates to a point where it has to be pushed before it packs into ice.

Our economy needed it. My truck customers are plowing and earning $$ for their winter payments. The Detroit people will stop here with their sleds and spend $$. Cars won’t start and my techs make $$. I don’t enjoy moving all the cars and plowing. But it’s good exercise.

Looking forward to our friends from Boyne to get down to FL at the end of the month.

When is the pond hockey tourney this year and do you think it will be in the bay of St Ignace or have to move again for lack of ice?

That is my kind of winter!
That's one thing. The past few winters I've stared at barren fields and grass. I was out today for awhile. I don't so much mind the cold cold, my truck had some words for me after not being started for a week though. When it's 32-40 degrees and damp with shitty humidity my body locks right up. :/

My wife was looking at the humidity level. Cold is cold, but 85% humidity on top of 6 degrees chills the bones. Buts thats ok, it keeps me moving.

Went by the snowmobile trail parking west of Grayling on 72 and the lot was full, lots of sleds in Grayling so really helps the local establishments with a snowy winter.

They spend about 2 months here.
That would be perfect. After all of the destruction around the country I found that this winter isn’t getting on my nerves this year. We really like the Anna Marie and Fort Walton Beach areas. Have no desire to live there with all the traffic and nonsense. But a February and March vacation from the snow would be good.

A classmates loader. Had to move some snow so the Waste Mafia truck could get to the dumpster.

Once you get the blacktop exposed any remaining snow is gone quickly once the sun comes out. You are doing good!!!
Thanks. I’m new to this shit. Basically I watch the neighbors. If they snow blow I do. If they don’t, I don’t. 😁

The sun showed up about 3. I can see the blacktop on the used car lot. Wanted to get out skiing, but I was short people at work.

I 500 running now. Track looks great. -12 degrees at the start. Looks like lots of snow in the UP. Didn’t make it up to the Sault this year. Hopefully next year.

Good friend helps with the track. Has for years. I store my boat in the pole barn of a two time winner of the I500 in the early 80’s. The orginal shell of the Yamaha sets on a shelf in his garage. It has been 35 years since I went to a race. Normally watch online. Did not do it this year.

Buddy of mine won the vintage class at the 500 this year. Haven't checked on the Ulman kids for the main race.

Never skip an opportunity to clear the driveway, especially after it stops snowing. Once the snow goes through a thaw and freeze cycle (or a few) it becomes a real pain in the ass. It can crust up or worst case it sets up like concrete. Get it gone while its fresh.

I learned the hard way the first time I drove through a couple inches of fresh. Went to blow it off later and realized the tire tracks were a frozen mess.
