For us non-ballers I trusted him with my baby and he never let me down.

I really miss Kyle.
My last visit for service went backwards. Everything I had made the appointment for didn't get touched, but the upsell easy money stuff he(?) suggested(my lowest priority) the day after my appointment is the only thing they did.
I ended up having to go elsewhere to get my priority items handled.

Kyle and Jeff were both awesome always went above and beyond for customer service. I was there a couple of weeks ago for a scheduled service and there was 1 other boat in the parking lot. It was kind of a strange feeling leaving it there since the lot has always been packed. I just didn’t have that confident feeling when I picked it up as I have in the past. Going to finally take it out this weekend hopefully all goes well.

Kyle took great care of us when we had a Merc Racing claim and engine swap. Always took my calls and was very good at communicating what was going on. Shame he left. Even worse is that he is no longer with us. Was always super nice to the wife and I. We started taking our boat elsewhere after the warranty ran out which was the same time Kyle left.

There was an incident at his home in Havasu and he either shot and killed himself, or was shot and killed. I never got the full story and u think it is still under investigation.

I did not know that Coast Motor Group does boat service and repairs. Has anyone here used Coast Motor Group for service and repairs before Jeff Moved there? I have ONLY used Nordic Service since 2015 and was very familiar with both Kyle and Jeff. Both great guys, fair, no gouging, great communication, good work, etc. I would appreciate comments ( good and bad) on any prior experience with Coast Motor Group service. Looks like I now need a new Service Shop for my boat.

Finally, I was told that Kyle left Nordic and went into a new line of work unrelated to boats. I have never heard before that he is deceased. Very sad as he was a great person and shop Manager to me.

I made the mistake of going there before I knew the quality of their work and I’ll never go back

Opinions vary but I never had a problem with Coast Motor Group. They were and still are my recommendation.

If you were considering buying a Nordic vs another line of boat,, the good Nordic Service Dept was the deciding choice. At one time stand-out amazing.

When speaking of Nordic, the excellent service dept reputation was always mentioned in the same breath.

I had a Nordic, really liked that boat. I'm not going back into details again but the last time Nordic serviced it was a disaster. They made it right but it shouldn't have happened. I was quite surprised and disappointed.

He won’t post the full story because he is a nice guy but run as far as you can from Iguana. I typically won’t burn a business but they fucked over @JFMFG so bad on his boat.

Never done business with Coast but the owner has tried to buy a few of the boats I’ve sold and was always arrogant and a dick when trying to get me down on my price. Definitely wouldn’t go there.

We’ve been going to Barrett for years with outboards and IO set ups and he’s never let us down before. Maybe a hair more expensive than the rest but you get what you pay for in havasu

What boat and what type of services?

I switched from Nordic to Barrett. As mentioned above you pay a little more but in my honest opinion you get what you pay for. My first time there, they found some things that should have been found on my last two services. You also have to compare what level service level you purchase from Nordic as I beleive they have three tiers, and compare to what that actually is at a place like Barrett.

That's Shane. Havasu Marine Specialites. He takes care of our Hallett 210. He's fair and honest. I spoke with him last week. I think he is taking a break from social media.
