I'm torn with the future prospects of automation and trucking.

Part of me feels sorry for all the Americans who will lose there job, but the other part of me is like, wtf, there are no Americans driving trucks anymore.

Besides all that, will a computer throw there indian food tainted piss bottle out the window?
Will a computer drive their truck at insane dangerous speeds through a family of 5?
Will a computer pass over a double solid yellow line?

Just say'in

Every time it comes up on indeed I apply.....
Where are you located? I came to the company with no fuel hauling experience.
Hope you dont need to run the 93 from Wickenburg AZ to the 40.

I saw that on Rice road once. Guy did it right near a corner too. I think they give no fucks even if there’s on coming traffic. In their mind they know the oncoming car is going swerve. No one would intentionally get in a head on with a semi at highway speeds, it’s not survivable.

A guy that worked for me came upon a horific accident at night. Held a toddler in his arms until he passed.

I’d get 10 tickets a day
If a cop followed me
The shit us dump truckers pull
Trying to get our rocks off
Is sight to behold !
Lol
It was the wild west when I use to run end dumps and belly dumps around San Diego. Loads could be paid per load and when that happened the race was on. Those were some fun times for sure.

If you’ve had the pleasure of running 93 thirty years ago, then you would know it’s 100% better than it used to be. Still a shit show in a lot of places and everybody’s in a big hurry. It was amazing how many memorial crosses were on the side of the road before they improved it.

Back before DUI laws, a guy could put away a 12 pack (on ice), before reaching Hover Dam driving to Vegas on the 93. I don’t think they checked for drugs back then.

In Canada, this reason is (1) employers of temporary foreign workers get subsidized to pay the immigants they bring over. (2) commercial licences from other countries are often recognized for up to a year so these guys can hit the road very very quickly (3) the owners of the trucking companies have their cousin in Bangalor issue a CDL as these 'new Canadians' get on the plane headed for Toronto or Vancouver. (4) because these guys are 'new Canadians', their additional education (licence upgrading) is paid for by the federal government.

There is no chance a non 'connected' trucking company can survive this scam.
I have had horrible experiences with turban wearing long haul drivers for Canada starting around 2004, you Canadians need to do a cleansing of your nation, as does the US.

My nephew just earned his CDL and is now driving for an extremely reputable outfit here in SoCal. If he plays his cards right and doesn't do anything stupid, he'll be set for life. I hope he realizes how fortunate he is to have this opportunity. 💪

It's incredibly sad most over the road big rigs are driven by shitbag humans that don't speak English. Litter, containers full of piss & other disgusting shit at every off ramp, rest area, etc

If your in Vegas shoot me a PM with your number I might be able to help you out. My boss is in charge of that area. Plus I can give you some specifics about the company you might want to know ahead of time🤣

I dread that drive every time I do it. I can't even imagine the pain your co-worker felt that night and the countless other nights he's had to relive it.

Someone mentioned what it was like 30 years ago and I can imagine it was crazy especially 2 lane all the way to the 40. Makes me appreciate every single DPS officer I see on that road!

I was in the industry for almost 40 years, have seen many changes in that time. In my last company I had drivers run a turn from Phoenix to Vegas nightly. Many times, they were delayed due to accidents on 93. some were horrific. In my role I was responsible for hiring drivers. Finding qualified drivers, who didn't have an automatic only restriction on their license became increasingly difficult.

Coincidentally, those aren’t US military vehicles being hauled lol
Good catch, they’re Japanese. There is a Japanese training facility on base that I haul these to and from twice a year. I got a chuckle out of the guy saying that they wouldn’t allow non citizens on base, when there is a tons of them😆 Just ones we like though…

It's really easy to get over on someone that comes from somewhere where they have nothing.

Even easier to take advantage and basically have slave labor work force ethics accepted by your employees willingly. These companies are at least 99.9% Charlatans.

Many of these guys come from places of unimaginable poverty; They're here to spread the lowest level of existence on the US trucking industry as everyone sits on their hands.
