Nitto Trail Grapplers M/T vs. Toyo OpenCountry M/T

Well the last 3 sets of tires were Toyo's so time to change it up, my size not available... so Nitto's going on in a few hours... I will post picture later, my tire guy swears by them and his proof is on his jeep, that's what he's running 12.50 x 35 R17 on a lifted Rubicon.... so here we go

You really can't beat the Toyos. I had 2 sets on my last Chevy and they lasted over 40k miles each. They are E rated (if that matters to you) and they are far less noisy than any other mud terrain tire on the market. I recently bought a F250 that had damn near brand new Pro Comp mud terrains on it. I didn't even burn a full tank a fuel before having Toyos put on it. I can't stand the loud roar of the tires on the freeway after being spoiled with Toyo. I had them installed at Custom Truck Shop.

Update.... So my guy has been checking with his warehouse's.... No luck, NO TOYO Open M/T available... so he called Toyo directly..... Per Toyo, the Open Country M/T will not be available until October 2014.... any around are old stock, and the NEW DESIGN won't be out until then, someone has them some where, but they are now old style, I wonder what the new ones bring to the table, oh well, can't wait any longer... the new tires are ordered and go on Tuesday... Nitto Trail Grappler M/T 12.50 x 35 R18 ....

My Toyos were on back order as well, but CTS was able to track down a set. If it's not too late, give them a call.

I hopefully have a set of 37" Toyo MT's coming soon.

I got them from Toyo direct and they charged my card. The rep said they are very hard to find right now and I'm hoping I get them in time for my utah trip for easter jeep safari on the 12th...lol

SO when I got to the tire shop, there's my new Nitto's sitting right next to some 37" Toyo's ... I 'm like Damn Dude, he said he can still get 37's but not 35s ... I could clear 37s but pulling the fiver would be loaded... so I went with the Nitto's, nice looking and QUIET, I was surprised, like he said they are QUIET.... so now were going to see how the longevity is going to said and how they handle the sand in a few weeks..... more to follow ....WEDGE
