I don't think I have pictures but some of the best times for me boating was at Lake Berryessa about 10 or so years ago. After dark, calm, warm and smooth water. No cops around so speed limits were a non issue.
Good shit.

I use to do night boating quite frequently when camping on the river or lake. When camping on Lake Mohave we would even water ski, knee board and tube at night. One night while night boating on the river (pitch black) no lights and no moon out I almost went head on with a fisherman who also had no lights on. That was an eye opening moment that let me know that other people are on the water at night also. The last night trip we did was about 5 years ago again pitch black and no moon we pulled into Site Six at about 2 am and couldn't believe all the locals still hanging out in the parking lot, I thought to myself are you kidding me....

How is the visibility at night, assuming a full moon? Kind of sketchy if people arent using their lights. Might not be worth the risk getting on plane?

I don't get on plane . I just cruise around off plane , stop, cruise, enjoy the night and dinner on the boat .
It's hard to see. and lights are a must.spot light too . Best to go in the area you know best .

I just always worried about getting run over.

It a blast once in a while. once or twice a year. and don't go far .
I would't do it just our family . I like some buddies on board just in case, for what ever comes up .
Like can't see something and always have someone up at the bow .

Parker from roadrunner to blue water is awesome!

Dig night boating! I used to do it a bunch before kids, we would stay on the water until well after mid night. Nothing better than floating on your boat during a hot summer night, with the toons playing and watching the city lights.

We have had several trips from Avi to Havasu after the fireworks show, always a good drive home sometime a little sketchy when there is no moon.

Damn that looks nice!

Yep, night boating is one of our favorite things to do. The lights from the Casino's make it pretty easy for navigation on the way up to the Dam and then we just float down back to our condo.

We enjoy night boating and do it quite a bit when we're at Havasu. Every once in a while we will run down to the Springs for dinner and come back late at night. I know the lake very well, so I feel confident being out at night - it's the idiots hauling ass in the dark or running without lights that make it tough.

A while back I did a run from Topock to Havasu and made a GPS track with waypoints.
Way less nervewracking when driving at night.
