Now this is "Desert Storm"!

Submitted for comparison, this is a 27' Hallett going upriver (with the wind), the "easy" direction!

That's ridiculous.

There was wilder stuff I watched from inside my house,, boats up at 45 degree angles, one small boat being towed that kept dipping it's nose, figured they probably would sink it before it got back to where it was going!

I saw water spray over a pontoon today on the Strip. Sketchy as hell for sure. Ran the river in my Tremor and it handled the rough with ease

Damn man!! Even my boat was getting tossed around.....some of those swells were over 3 feet.

For a while I was cruising on top of it but when I hit the open area of the lake I couldn't do much. It submarined a few waves

If you launch and the wind is 25 mph and gusting harder, expect to get wet.

I've been on a pontoon that took one over the front and submarined, the driver threw it in reverse and yelled everybody to the back. We didn't go over, but it was close... in fact, we were staying at Echo so it was in Parker somewhere.

Had the same happen when I was a kid, all the ice chest and crap floated off. We would always stay at big bend though.

It's definitely something you never forget. I've taken a wave over the front on my pontoon, but nothing close to what happened that time.

Stupid fucking wind. We were floating down by the casino and at times, the wind was pushing us UP river :thumbsdown

We have been out in the ocean before and the conditions were not this bad.

I heard it was awful yesterday, this confirms that. I went for a few runs today and got breakfast at fox's. It was nice today, but cold

Thanks again for the lunch @ Pirates, Dave. Although the weather wasn't the best, it was nice to see you and meet Tony. If not sooner, see you in June.

We made a late run to the Dam around 5 or so. Was nice for a little bit, but picked up again on our way back to Rock House.

I was in my brothers 21' RT on Saturday going up to the sandbar. I have never been in a wind swell that bad at the river. It sucked in the 21' RT. We could just barely cruise up. Otherwise, the boat and ourselves would have been beat to shit

Luckily the wind died down at dusk and it wasn't too bad going back home.

My dad and uncle came up with the rest of the group and they said it wasn't too bad in their 27' Fundeck
