The cockpit area of the plane looks pretty fucked hopefully no one was sitting right seat as it looks to have taken a good shot on that side.

Flight was out of apple valley Piper PA32

I read 3 exited on own power, it's in the pits by the top end of the track. This is from the internet.

Not the same information that others are posting...

It appears the absorption of energy by the crushed pickup significantly reduced the severity of the event. The outcome would have been tragic if the fuel tanks had been breached and a post crash fire had ensued.

I hope the injured mend quickly.

Did any debris get on the track? How big are delays? On another topic Tony Stewart and Leah had a baby boy. Hope he gets back to track for 1st round. How dare her have a baby during the finals😁

ya, news reporting is absolute shit these days. Seems it days before the real, factual info actually gets released.
At least media is consistent….the same as elections and vote tabulation. 😟 I hope that all are ok. 👍

Story I heard from an NHRA official was plane lost power and can up short. I believe it crashed in the RV parking area. We wanted to camp there but it was sold out. Bad deal. RIP for those that didn’t make it.

The video in post 30 confirms that, you can't hear an engine, the fact that you immediately hear sirens tells me the fire department already knew there was going to be an emergency landing.

I’m gonna remember that trick if the need ever arises. Between the roof collapsing, the suspension loading, air in tires and the truck moving forward about 20’ from where it was impacted a lot of energy was bled off for sure.

Who’s everyone?
Read it like 3 times in this thread I think?
You know how shit like that bothers me!😳😳😂

This is the most bad ass racing of the entire year.
Beckman runs his all time fastest MPH…and is still 5 MPH behind Prock.
Capps had track record yesterday…for one run. 😳
The entire top half of FC was in the .80’s.
A 3.70 in TF puts you on the trailer.
Just sick.

Pick the softest thing you can find, be as slow as you can and still maintain control and fly it as far as you can into the crash... And wear your shoulder harness.
