Got new appliances. Wife posts our working fridge for free on next door. Chick contacts her and says they want it.
Her and her husband will come get it. Wife tells her it's on the second floor and I can't help get it out. Tells her she'll give the appliances delivery dudes $40 to get it outside. They agree.
They message my wife and say they don't have a truck.
They only live 5 minutes away so I tell her if they come load it in my truck I'll run it over. They agree. After waiting on them for an hr they text the wife saying they need my help loading it. Not happening. I have a jacked up hand.
They text back saying they have a friend coming over to help. Be over in a couple hrs. 3 hrs later. Nothing. Wife reaches out and they say they are on there way. Can they venmo the 20$. Huh? It was $40.
These 2 soft ass man bun having Snowflakes show up in their Lesbaru and try to say his wife agreed to $20. And ill deliver. Seriously. No. It's $40.
I don't need the $ or really care. But these jerkoffs can GFThemselves.
"You make me wait around. Get me to agree to deliver it then try to negotiate over 20$.
Kick rocks. I'll donate it to Habitat
They can pick it up Monday and I don't even have to start my truck or have to worry about your asses fucking up my tailgate". Bye! Bye!
Rant over...

Sounds about right. 80% of the time when my Fiancée posts baby stuff for free someone will message her with a sob story about why the item will be perfect. She puts it out in the porch for them and no one shows lol.

I got kicked off there twice for harrasing the libturds . . . the last time I said F-it, I'm good.

The kicker for me was a gal posting a 'Warning' pick of a guy she called a 'Peeping Tom' . . . turns out it was just her neighbor . . another one of the neighbosr chimed-in who saw the guy. . . I guess he had just gotten a puppy and was simply walking it down their street when it wandered into her yard and he was retrieving it . . . . idiots, the whole lot of 'em.

Nextdoor is the absolute WORST!!! If you couldn't complain about shit on there, there would be no Nextdoor. Bunch of sniveling mother fuckers complaining about EEEEEEEEVERYTHING!!! The airplanes at the airport are too loud. The Seals are too loud. The fog horn is too loud. The dredger is too loud. The fireworks scare my dog. Pick up your dog poop. Stop speeding (on like major streets). leash your dogs. The building they're putting up is wrong. blah blah blah...Fucking blah!!!

And yes, I realize the irony of me complaining about people complaining. 😉😁👍

It's nice to help out those that are less fortunate but the only time you may get satisfying results is when you help out at the moment in person. Waiting on people will drive you nuts. You would've been better off hauling the thing to the dump and going to lunch with the wife afterwards. Before you would exit the dump on the way out some beaners would've picked it up and take it home and use it. It sounds funny but it's one of those items that has to go to the dump to not end up in the dump.

We post stuff all the time, we meet at local shopping center. When we agree on a time, it's set . . . I tell them Okay... 3pm . . . let me know if you are running late - I will wait 5 minutes NO LONGER and on to the next one on the list. Have only gone to the next once. So pretty damn lucky.

*I also don't put FREE on anything - those are flakes who answer the ad but never set a time - if we are given it away. I just tell them when they arrive that I don't want the money, just the thing gone ! It's usually something I got for free and just passing it onwards.

Pull off the back cover, install a couple sardines, reinstall back cover and tell em to come pick it up.

You forgot about the blowers cleaning the shopping center parking lot early AM. Why can’t they do it at noon.

I just gave away a fiberglass bed cover and sorting through the spam in Facebook messenger was the worst part. Luckily I got a guy to come get it last night

Cleaning out downstairs I put a bunch of really nice stuff at the end of my driveway, took pictures and put it on FB Marketplace first come first served.

Cracked me up the amount of people asking to hold or deliver items, pop ups on my phone screen do not show as read to the sender.

"Why aren't you answering me" :p

Paso Robles Airport
Edited 2 days ago

At 5;34 tonight an F-35 fighter (out of Lemoore likely) Flew over our home, a mile west of the Airport, heading west and as he flew over he hit FULL afterburner! He was also very low. He continued heading west, climbing, heading towards their offshore training area. Not turning the burners off until he was 5-8 miles west of us. The sound was so startling and unexpected I almost fell out of my chair. This is NOT acceptable behavior and is against Naval rules when flying over populated areas. Ive lived here 40 years and while ive heard them hit the burners up high, never like this. I live and work in Aviation and been a pilot for 60 years, and seen and heard a LOT of amazing things but THIS sounded like he was coming thru the roof. Disgruntled Pilot? Fight with his wife? lol I'll be contacting Lemoore in the AM with a report.

I call it next door Karen's.

Putting stuff at the end of our driveway is my wife's trick with a sign that says free I might take a picture of the whole mess and put it on Craigslist but we don't answer emails the Craigslist ad just says come take a look free stuff at curb.

I'm noticing a common trend and its happened to me. List something for free and you get the sob stories, hold it for me types, and the ones that expect you to deliver 100 miles away. I do not agree with setting the stuff out on the sidewalk. Makes the neighborhood look junky and it attracts hoarders that eventually get bold and start looking over the fence for stuff... I had this problem with scrap metal guys that drive those 80's toyota pickup flatbeds in our business park.

Arrowhead has a different vibe . People constantly put stuff on the street with free signs. It usually gets snapped up by someone within a day. I’ve been both the leaver and the picker upper. If you drive by and see it, help yourself. No expectations of delivery or holding it, if you don’t grab it when you see it it might not be there when you come back.

I figure it’s common because taking something to the dump is a royal pain and even though the dump has a consignment store for the nicer stuff that winds up at the dump, people know it’s easier for the drive by pickers.

I've never had anything last more than a day at the end of my driveway, I would rather do that than deal with idiots over a couple of bucks.

I did have one really nice lady knock on my door and ask to put something behind my truck so she could run home and get help.

That was going to be my comment. I never saw that until we moved more out of town. Now I see it all the time. Shit by the road with free signs on it. I got my son a fridge that way from the neighbor. I ran over a grabbed it with my tractor.

I love stuff like this. If that’s all you can spend on your sons birthday you shouldn’t be spending that much.

And then there are the people that offer 50% of asking price.

Few years back I looked out front and facing me was a world class ass, being the gentlemen I am I raced out to see if she needed help.

Decent size curio shelf and she was a tiny thing in a Grand Cherokee, I smiled at her and said would you like it in the back.

I listed a super nice King sized Pineapple bed with 2 nightstands . Some woman texted me and wanted me to show her my receipt so she could determine age and her offer …

On another note, how do you like towing the boat up and down CA-18 or CA-330?

I’ve done all three. CA-18, CA-330 and the CA-189 up/down the north side out of Crestline.

Honestly the 18 is the best because it’s not as steep and windy as the other two. Plus the 330 makes me climb higher than I would with the 18 which is more stress on the car. The 189 is a total nightmare towing on the top part but once it drops out above Silverwood it’s normal.

Just gotta watch the mirrors and don’t drag the trailer through a ditch on a curve.

And it’s the reason i swapped out the surge brakes for EoH on the trailer. I wanted to control the trailer braking better. That was an excellent idea.

Can’t get mad. You’re on offer up. I’ve offered half price on couple things and won. Just gotta watch how long it’s been up there. 🤣🤣
It’s just annoying that people are so cheap or poor they can’t make a reasonable offer.

I advertised a small engine hoist for 100 bucks. Got a bunch of full price offers, but some millenial offered me $60.00 and two cases of beer. Turns out he worked at Avery Brewing. I said, coolest offer I got all day. He said pick your flavor. He showed up with the beer and the cash and we cracked open a beer and bullshitted for awhile. Coolest millenial ever, haha. They are not all dull.........
