I wonder if they can put a decent interior in it?

Was looking at C7's recently and the physical quality of the leather was shockingly bad. Also with 40k miles, most of the buttons on the dash were worn away. It was actually a dealbreaker for me. Just so, so poor.

I was incredibly disappointed in the GM flagship.

I’ve had 3.
Current is a 2014 C7 Z51 with 16K miles.
I would never buy a modern corvette with more than 10K miles on it. After 25-30K miles it’s a “best offer” sale at best, unless it’s a special model.
A modern corvette with 40K on it has been tortured, most likely. Unless it’s some retired guy just cruising the country, or his wife’s trophy car.
That’s just how it is.
I love corvettes, my C7 is easily beyond my skill set, but is just so much fun to drive, and cost less than half of a diesel truck when I bought it in 2019 with 6700 miles on it.

I’m no baller like some guys. The corvette lets me own a pretty cool sports car without going broke.
I’ve been eyeballing some C8 models with around 6-7K miles on them for around $70K or even less.
I can trade in my C7 for over half of that, and float a <$600 payment and have a rear engine bad ass paddle shifted modern sports car!
😎😎👍👍

I'm sorry, I'm a die-hard front-engine Corvette fan. Anything after the C7 has been lackluster at best. I'm waiting to see how the newest ZR1 turns out and whether or not it ups the ante.....

Someone threw in a nod to the 63 split window, it looks out of place. If that's all they can dredge up, MEH

The rest looks like a nightmare

… From the sound of it, I would say it might be the Electro-Vette of the future🤷🏽‍♀️… it certainly looks better than a Cyber Truck😳

… I don’t know🤷🏽‍♀️… It looks like it might be a super blast to blow through the desert at 200 miles an hour…

I’m wanting a c8 to replace my Chevelle. I need one like I need a hole in my head though.

This concept looks sleek as hell, but we all know it’ll never look like that. 😂

I guess I don’t get the c8 hate, I had a c6,c7,now a c8.It is so much better in every way from the previous generations, quicker, handles better, transmission is awesome,I think it looks way better,
better fit and finish, interior might be a tough one for certain people to “love”, but I like it. I put 49,000 miles on my ‘19 and don’t miss it at all.

This is what I’ve heard from everyone that’s actually owned both. A local guy that owns a tow company has a C7 ZR1 and now has a c8 Z06, says the c8 is better in every single way.

I’d have to do a convertible to have any chance of fitting in it, but what a sexy car.

I went to cars in coffee at rotary park a month or so ago, and listening to a couple old corvette guys bash on c8’s I got this plate. Even the hard top convertible is better than previous models. All of ours have been convertibles.

My dad has a C8 that I've driven a few times. Its a dam amazing car. Handles great and the power is awesome. I've driven 911 porsches and mercedes that he has had before and the C8 blew them away. I raced open wheel cars for years so I tend to not care about street cars but I was super impressed with the C8. You can pick up a used C8 with a couple thousand miles for like $55-65k, unreal price for what you are actually getting

With standard equipment.
It may vary depending on your actual trim and options.
I always go to car dudes or eBay and see what they are actually listed and selling at.

C4 thru C7s and even C8s are OK, took awhile to warm up to them. The potential C9, no thanks. I’ll stick with my C3.

Damn that's BEAUTIFUL!! My parents had that exact same car when I was a kid. A few differences as ours had a warmed-over big block with Western Slot wheels and side pipes. That car was such a beast! My step-Dad used to race it at Sebring back in the late 70's. They ended up selling it to a Corvette collector in Central Florida, then used that money to buy a beachfront condo. I guess it was an "OK" exchange.... 👍

In my humble opinion, this is the last "Real" Corvette that GM manufactured.

2019 ZR-1

Screenshot_20250416-134543~2.png

Front engine, rear-wheel drive, 755hp. A BEAST!!

Yes, the chassis design was pushed to the edge and something needed to be done to continue to harness all the power that vehicle was capable of producing. But, going to the current mid-engine design with the European flair was in my opinion, the wrong move for GM. The latest rendition lost all that was sexy about a Corvette. Raw, unadulterated power with the brute force of the massive pushrod V8. The latest Corvette is a lackluster attempt at chasing down the European/Italian supercars and trying to win them over with an American version. Yeah, it's different and all, but I don't like it.

If you give me a brand new Vette today, I'll be looking to trade it for the 2019 ZR-1. That's a real Corvette.

I don't "hate" the C8, the few that I've drove have seemed like fantastic cars... But the Corvette was always a GT car, not mid-engine sports car. Moving the engine completely changed the personality of the vehicle. To me it isn't a Vette.

Honestly I don't know why GM didn't make the Corvette its own brand and produced both configurations side-by-side. VW and Fiat have been doing that for decades with their sports cars.

It took me a long time to warm up to the C8. I thought they were butt ugly when they came out.

Now I love them. Some day I’ll snag one, maybe.

The thing I love about corvette, in general, is that they always outdo themselves. The “base” next generation vette has (I think) always outperformed the prior generation z06, etc. The performance for the dollars spent is insane to me.

Where do they go from here? The new z06 and ZR1 are nuckin’ futts already.

Have you seen the price on those now? $200k for low mileage cars.

Very cool. This one is actually my 2nd C3. The first was a 71 T Top with a 454. The driveline was tired buit it was a really fun car to drive. Wish I had the $$$ to rebuiild it. I’ve never (officially) raced either one.

I can’t wait for the Zora to come out, I can see the haters now.

“The C8 isn’t a real corvette. Does that badge say Zora? What a stupid model name, where did they get that from”🤣

we're getting 16 new Vettes for Academy27 this year, due to cancellation of the Camaro. With Camaro. we had manuals as well as autos. Shame there's no more manual options for Vette.

Camaro fleet is going bye bye

I'll stick with our old school cars. My 85 Van Diemen open wheel and couple of Porsche Cup cars
