Just got a new truck camper a little bigger than the last one we wanted a shower and a little bigger bed. It's a travel lite 610RSL. I am hoping to head back to Raystown lake 1st week in October. It's nice comes with solar panel on the roof and a fancy TV antenna.

Very nicd.
We started our RV adventures with a slide in Lance lite in our Dodge Ram 1500 short bed. The first time I climbed up for an afternoon nap when it was 105 out and the AC was blowing ice cold I thought I was in the best RV ever to grace the planet lol

Congrats!!
thats a sweet setup for sure. I've been waiting on the Northern Lite campers to come back down in price, but im starting to think its futile

do you have enough clearance on that cab over? Its kind of hard to tell from the pics, but looks like you might need another sheet of ply or something in there to get a hair more room?

Yes I need another inch for clearance.3" is recommended but the closer the better for fuel economy. Was happy to see almost 14 mpg on the 7 hour ride home with it in my Tundra.

How much do those campers weigh? I was thinking about those Four-Wheel pop up campers.

This one 610RSL 1459 LBS so the MFG says. I have seen weights all over the place from 1200 to 1659lbs. Judging from how much it drops my Tundra it weighs just about the same as my Rayzr did and that was 1059 lbs. I put air springs on my Tundra so I could level my trl. with just 8 psi in the air springs. This camper is designed for mid size trucks (tocoma,Ranger, jeep ect.) and I got it because it is narrow, don't need ext mirror and is light weight so I can still pull my daytona 23 with ease. Plus it sleeps 3 or 4 with 2 kids.

Travel lites are cheap for a reason. I’m an RV Tech and these have rolled through the shop. They look snazzy, but if you start inspecting quality vs a heavier camper than you start to realize they saved weight in all the wrong places. The cabinetry is cheap, walls are cheap and the structure is stick framing.

Well, there's nothing like a new member raining on another member's parade. 🤦 Solid job my friend, way to bring some support to the thread.

You can nitpick EVERY single recreational vehicle manufactured from a truck camper, a bumper-pull travel trailer, a triple axle fifth wheel toy-hauler to a double-stacker cargo hauler with all the bells and whistles. There isn't one of these items that is built to perfection. Period.

This particular camper fit @stingray11 bill and was probably within a certain budget. It may not be perfect for you, but it might be perfect for him.

@Gizzy try a little harder next time to be a little more considerate. It goes a long ways around here. 👍

Thank you and you are exactly right. I have had 2 travel light truck campers now and have not had a problem with either one.

I thought the same and checked his other posts, those were positive. Give him a chance to get the vibe of the place. 🍻

simple is nice and easy imo.I had a lance 185 8.5 ft camper was on small side for a wife and 2 kids but it worked. Was able to haul the boat or take simple easy trips to forest to camp.Once daughter got too tall she couldnt fit on the side of master bed in the pocket so that ended that.

Worst part after we sold it wife didnt go as much and son got a job so he could rarely go with us and most times its just me.It had a cold ac and a place to excape the elements if it got bad. Most times we spent outside anyways.
