So I'm having some guys redo some landscape/hardscape and we needed to pull some wire through existing condiut (under concrete). Can't get the fish tape through so the guys grabbed a shop vac and a string line. Vac at one end pulled the stringline through about 20' of conduit instantly.
I was impressed.😄

That’s standard practice for our UG cable pulls.

Di that successfully on a pull to a building put in 6 years ago, run was 123 ft. getting the 2 inch conduit under the driveway was not so easy. LOL

My electrical customers do that on some crazy long pulls. One blast from a blow pipe hooked to a 185cfm compressor and the string line is flying out of the sweep at the other end in milliseconds, works awesome.

We've also used a hitch and a truck to pull some cable. Sure would have been easier just to drop larger conduit down in the trench in the first place. 🤣

THIS!!! This works REALLLY good!!! Also works great if the conduit has water in it. Did some work at Dos Lagos GC, they ran a bunch of conduits for future stuff, never capped off the conduit so a bunch filled up with water. We took a air comp to it and water blew out the other side like Old Faithful!!! Hahahaha. Was crazy how much back pressure there was, but once you overcame that and the pressure builds up, it blows out the other side like crazy.

Works for fishing wires through roll cages too. I use a flat Ballon tied to the string

Useful for fishing wires thru boat trailers too... just have to tape off all the extra holes
