WTF is with all the embossed logos in the tailgates of fucking everything now? What used to fixable is now a replace only situation. I hate new cars

Also....lots of the 4runner/Tacoma market wants bigger tires....not possible without a sawzall treatment on that. Why not add a bit of wheelwell clearance?

Toyota has lost their way. I don't think I'll be buying another

I like it, but I don’t see why they are going to offer the 4-Runner and the new Landcruiser. They seem very similar in content and price.

It looks like it was designed by whoever work on the original Star Wars storm troopers. LOL

I like the land cruiser not sure on the 4 runner. They share the same wheelbase and the hybrid power plant. Land cruiser is 5 inches taller but has less ground clearance. The land cruiser starts in the 50k range. I suppose that means the 4 runner will start in the 40's?

Tell you guys one thing for sure, the Toyota rock crawling tech is amazing. We were sitting at the top of Diablo drop off in Anza Borrego recently and watched a new dead stock 4 runner, with a full on yuppie couple driving, successfully climb diablo. There were at least a dozen other rigs, mostly jeeps, that failed miserably, most couldn't even get through the sand in order to get to the actual steep part of the climb. A heavily modded Tundra made it up and said "I wish I had the cheat button like that 4 runner" Really impressive to watch, at one point the left front wheel was a foot off the ground and it didn't even spin a tire.

I’m here in San Diego at a huge Toyota press preview for 2025 modes including Tacoma Hybrid and now 4Runner, Land Cruiser, Camry and Crown Signia. We have a large JBL activation supporting the launches.

We’re at a place called Vogt Ranch, they have a ton of off-road courses setup for the event. They also have a sweet pit-bike track that I really want to tear-up 😊

All of those 4Runner shots and vids were done in and around here.

The pics were leaked by Forbes, the embargo was supposed to be lifted at 7pm tonight, but those bozos released their pics and article at 7am 🙄

Yesterday was all of your favorite YouTubers, today was magazine media. Not sure who’s on the ticket for Wednesday or Thursday.

I have a 2011 FJ and the A-TRAC while in 4 low makes it pretty easy to walk up hills with little talent. Just drive slow and let the car do its thing. I'm sure the new ones are even better.

I’ll be grabbing a 2025 Camry. Although I wanted a 2024 for the naturally aspirated engine and what I think is a better looking exterior, the interior of the 2025 looks to be far superior so I’ll just go with that when it comes out.

I drove a newer Land Cruiser last summer. It has dial up modes for sand, mud, rocks. It was slick. As a Burning Man mud bog escape vehicle it excelled, even towing a trailer. Lots of folks were stuck.

LOL To be a suburban grocery getter it needs a tent, 4 rotopax, awning and a shovel on the roof. 😁

I had an Uber driver pick me up in a newish Jeep. Had 37s, hi-lift jack across the hood, literally every overlanding accessory you could think of was attached to this Jeep. He looked ready to go camping.

I asked him if he swapped the front axle…crickets.

I asked what gears he had to turn those 37s…crickets.

I asked him where he liked to go 4-wheeling. He said he had never been off-road, is afraid to break something…he just liked the look 🤣

Since the 4Runner, Land Cruiser and GX now share a platform, there should be a version that appeals to everyone 👍
Lexus LX as well, has the same wheelbase as GX, although strange that as much as it's about three inches longer OA, it's specs show over 3" more narrow.

Well, it’s a tall order living up to your instagram image. 🤡🤡🤡

I will ever get the poser deal, but that’s America all day long……LOL No Fear!

That dash almost looks like a throwback to the late 80's pickups. What's the estimated price point on the new off-road version?

This on the 4 runner and the new “Landcruiser”, bot exterior designs are trash. The new Sequioas are the best looking modern SUV IMO. Was drooling over one that i paced driving home up the 215 today.
I would agree on the Sequoia.
We picked this one up in December. ‘24 Capstone platform. 4x4. Truck has very limited options available as it’s highly loaded. I only wanted the front dash cam, rear airbags and gun safe as options. Only got the gun safe. I can add a cam and we tow so much less now—I was ok to pass them up.
Bought with our OR addy so no sales tax, $500 for 4 years of registration and dealer markup was only 2k. Dealers in NV were asking $10k markup.

Also....lots of the 4runner/Tacoma market wants bigger tires....not possible without a sawzall treatment on that. Why not add a bit of wheelwell clearance?

Many specific dimensions have not yet been released, but the Toyo Open Country AT III tires fitted to the TRD Pro and Trailhunter are sized at 265/70R-18, a sizing that translates to 33 inches tall.

Larger tires of this sort are now possible because, like the Tacoma, the 4Runner's wheelbase has been lengthened at the front to gain more body-mount clearance. Fitting larger tires to past versions of both trucks was problematic because of the relative lack of daylight in that area.

I think it’s pretty cute from the side but I don’t like the front as much
