Well last week I bought a wakeboard boat.

I promise to empty the ballast bags when I’m done!

Nice boat...we got rid of our tow boat last year and I am already kicking myself... we don't even do a lot of water sports but for fitting loads of people comfortably...and driveability they are such a great utility vehicle.....

Those 22VE are good boats, and do most all the wake sports well. They also turn on a dime!

Congrats @crzy2bealive! Great looking boat. Seems like you and many others on here are in agreement that these boats are so hard to beat for the family.

What are you upgrading to?
Looking to sell the tige and my nordic and just get into something newer and have one boat, most likely a newer wake boat (I know) we just end up always having a big group out and wanting to wakeboard.

How is it getting used to driving it? I've never driven a direct drive boat before, and for me even jet boats are a lot different to maneuver around at slow speeds compared to a outdrive.

Is it one of those "oh I got it now" deals, or do you need seat time when you're backing up and doing things in the wind?

Yeah we find ourselves on the wake boat more than any of the others. I have a G25 we’re going to be looking sell here pretty quick.

I can't say how the handling of this particular boat is in reverse, but my buddy's Ski Malibu had forward and not forward. Choose wisely.
The reverse (if you can call it that) had very little maneuverability.

My old day cruiser jet with a ride plate was more functional, especially with some generously applied throttle.

Good looking float, by the way 👍

Trying to reverse and go to the right is horrible. I have no control.

Reverse to the left is good but have to give it some gas.

The boat is sensitive to weight distribution when going forward.

First few times I had to reposition people.

File the rudder to favor turning right makes driving straight so much easier. No more sawing the steering wheel. Most tournament ski boats have this done or a fin to make the adjustment.
