Autie Em it’s a twister!

I do find it interesting how much better the special effects have gotten compared to the first one.

Though I doubt they’ve enhanced the realism because it’s Hollywood and people standing right next to a funnel cloud like it’s a light breeze while their truck right next to them is getting lifted off the ground by the twister is much more dramatic.

I worked on it and didn’t expect it to be good although the commercial makes it look pretty good. The picture cars were bad ass, we had a bunch of TRX trucks, I was told one was tuned to 1000 hp and the SUV’s were also fast. Special FX built the red dually’s and they were pretty cool. The TRX’s and the Durango’s were pre production models that were supposed to be crushed when we were done. Had a great time in Oklahoma and would go back in a heartbeat.

I saw the red dually on a flatbed, knew it was a picture car but didn't know for what, looked badass.

This movie will definitely be fun and entertaining

I dig it. I will definitely watch it.

Can we turn this thread into a Ford vs. Chevy vs. Dodge argument and why the Producers would choose Dodge over the others?

I mean c'mon. Who would drive a Dodge into the heart of a tornado, let alone to the river.

So you’re saying if the movie had Fords you could drive right at the tornado and it would flinch and change directions rather than suck up that POS?

I never said just 'suck up" the Ford. It could easily have "sucked up" a Chevy too.

I mean.....a Chevy would make sense..........it is pride month. 🏳️‍🌈

:) Just merely ''poking' fun at the great truck debate.
