While hanging out with my brother today at his machine shop we made this ski pole. It was inspired by RD's Spectra Ski Pole that he made. it is aluminum on the top and bottom with a stainless steel shaft. We are going to make a cap for it next weekend. Here are a couple of progress pics and the finished product.

The one on the spectra is just through bolted to the top of the boat.. In order to use it as an actual "ski pole" your going to have to tie it into the transom some how. I.E. Lengthen the stainless rod, and then have it bolt into a bracket that mounts on the transom, or if it's an I/O into the top of the drive.

My main reason for just making it the way i did was to cover up some old holes. I had intended on leaving the "base" and top the way it is, but tie-ing it into the Bravo drive when I de-rigged the boat and re-assembled.

Looks nice!

Looks great! but like Dave said, if you want to use it as an actual ski pole the rod needs to be tied into the transom as well, or it will just rip out of the glass and sink to the bottom on your first start :D

That is our next step to actually make it so it can be used. Thanks for the advice we will take it into consideration.
