Just came across this post on the Wraith Facebook Page. They posted it yesterday. A few of the comments said it starts at $699k, mold is in tooling, and first one should be done in 10 months. Would be cool to see someone finally finish a “Havasu CC”

Think Wraith was out testing on Sunday in their outboard cat, could have been Sat. We were at the Jetski races.

I think these boats will sell like hot cakes! The market is so hot, and pricing has gone so nuts on them, if they perform, they will sell.

Out of curiosity what other boat builder in Havasu actually builds a center console boat

The don’t need luck.. they will sell all 5.
as many posts as there have been about "west coast" CC's I think I'll agree with you. I'm all about anything that is creating jobs, and expansion into this will create LOCAL jobs in Havasu, and the guys from Wraith are super cool to chat with. Wish them the best of luck.

Nordic was working on one but I think it got mothballed.

Barron in so cal was working on one. Same story.

DCB has renderings lol. I think they’d kill it in that market.
I believe the Barron mold was completed and was actually laying glass and the helm. Then nothing..... The rendering looked awesome, as it was a mix for fishing and pleasure.

Are we considering the new lux toon a center console because of where the steering is at?

They definitely had a hull from what I remember.

I’m with you I think it was the perfect 50/50 boat.

Covid screwed a lot of these builders up. Especially on new designs.

“We” can. I’m not 🤣

I don’t consider a freeman a center console even though by definition it is one. To me a CC is a V bottom hull.

West coast CC’s can be a thing.. they will be over $500k at a minimum though, so unaffordable for most people. The idea that one will cost as much as a deckboat was a nice fantasy though, and the twin engine toon filled that niche anyway.

Agreed on the jobs front.

You must be excited for the Speed factory in Havasu then :)

Final assembly and service center ;)🤣...and yes. The area needs skilled labor jobs...and has for a long time. Mark Nexsen unfortunately couldn't see past his bean counter mentality when he was in office, so there was a major gap in pushing for business to come to the area...I'm happy to see larger investment coming into town creating jobs

CC will not be as big in CA as it is in FL. Perhaps in some lakes, but not in the big blue, as the weather out in the Pacific is sooo different, that a walkaround is more conducive for local waters...... That Pacific swell can get fun.

And last time I checked Havasu was in the USA not on the South China Sea :)

I don’t think skilled labor is coming to Havasu anytime soon.

It’s really cool with some good thought out into the renderings.

I really think they are going to do well with it. I think they are short on their price point though when you start adding in electronics etc it gets pricey quick.

Food for thought, are there any 40’ boats you can buy new for less than $699k? East coast or West, I assume the list is pretty short if there are any.

When 23’ wake boats are $400k, I think a 40’ CC is a steal at $699k (I don’t have money for a quarter of a new wake boat btw).

Renderings look cool, I really hope this works out for them! Might be challenging to build in the Cheetah building, but they’ll figure something out!

Hope they do well with it. Seems like a hell of a jump into the market by starting with the 40’. Starting with a smaller boat/price point would make more sense to get volume going through the door. Seems like the higher the price, the more brand would matter. Looking forward to seeing the CC next to the Ski Dazzle. 😬

In the 80s a 25 ft boat seemed huge , now in the 2000s a 40 footer seems kinda normal.

That’s a deal. I think they could sell at this price point.

I really like CCs, a lot. Their offshore applications are amazing. But, what is the big draw for Havasu use?

Good lines. Would love to see a havasu built CC.

Wonder who’s mold. Takes a shit ton of money and R&D and preferably a naval architect to design a brand new hull. I’m guessing existing hull?

The fact they can take all your buddies in any water conditions / AC cabin / storage and coolers for days..

Other than the beaching aspect they are waaayyyy better than deckboats IMO
While true for the most part. At 800k that’s pretty damn steep price point. I would say maybe 10 people on this site can/would buy this boat total. 150k gets you a nice used magic with a good motor. Which most people can afford.

Shit the fuel bill on a weekend with 4 450 is prolly well over 1000$

This is why this is not really practical for havasu. Those that can afford it would be prolly go for a midnight express, cig, ect brand would be my opinion.

The lines on this boat are bitchen though really clean looking. I like what wraith is doing in the cat market too

Things in general just cost a ton these days.

We come from an era where 30'+ boats with twins were money most couldn't even fathom. We were all cruising 10-25k 21' boats drinking shitty beer enjoying life. Today an average boat is 100k + and a average truck is 60k++.

Before you even get started with a new build the dang engines/drives cost you a crazy amount of $$$. These monster CC have 200K++ worth of outboards....The builders have figured out you can no longer afford to build a simple entry level boat due to component cost if they want to make any $$$. Building less million dollar boats with big profits makes more sense.

Pay to play.

With that said I'm not sure where people are getting the $$$...haha
