I had an offer out for the 21 daytona and 25 eagle. I really like the 26 eagle but they are keeping that and the 30 eagle FOR SURE.

Jet boat molds are a labor of love. i keep making bad decisions but the 21 daytona is #1 in my book.

Would a 21 Daytona be able to run a 300r? Is the 300r light enough?

I wouldn’t give 10 for the 21.
I’d give it for the 19 I think. Nostalgic purposes.
Even knowing it needs some tuning.

There was a 21 Edge tunnel at the big E within the last couple weeks.

That’s one I’d consider splashing a bottom off of if I were the E.
It’s not really stealing if it was an Eliminator to begin with, right?

That boat with a 300-400 ob, would haul the mail, and seat 6-8 comfortably. A few more if they were hot

I guess they could have been the 21 molds.

I’ll add some boating (industry) content here rather than goating. To lighten the mood.

I saw, in the Eliminator yard, the 220 Eagle molds, 230, 26 and 28 Eagle molds too.
I want to say the 30 is still there???

They say they don’t want to make em, but they keep those molds around.

I think someone determined to have one could. Would it be cheap? No.
But at this point it would be kinda cool to see a V bottom come out of the shop.

I know them both well. I just seem to recall several post's on here lately about quicker boats for the lower river. Tommy Papp was a very good friend of mine. I did a lot of sterndrive work for him.

Extended swim platform made the back of my Cobra 100% more user friendly. Another member here had them take the angle out of his.

Sure it works best as a jet/straight line runner, but they will turn with an outboard.
Not turn like a Stoker turn, but it will turn.
It’s a small cockpit in jet form.
With an outboard you could run a real rear bench and back to back buckets and seat the family.
And still have room for a small cooler!

I have seen several 19' Daytona's with an OB and a rear seat. The ones I've seen were squirley at Top End, that could have been in the Set Up OR Driver, BUT MY oh MY these were Bad Boys, and on the Missouri River @ Omaha were "Taking All Comers" and when going home at the end of the day could ask Any Body Else? They got up on plane instantly, very impressive nas as you said did have Leg Room.

OK Quick notes and im going to line item them so its not to be confused.

1. Betto Ochoa owns the molds. He was the GM at the glass shop (Fibercomposites Joel Casillas ) for many years.
2. They had a falling out. Betto moved next door to the Trailer Shop and purchased that business.
3. Betto is my friend. Works his ass off and has always stayed late with me. I owe him a lot.
4. We build the 242 SKIER, we had a license agreement with Ray who owned the mold and have built 3.
5. Ray sold all the molds to Betto. Now we buy the 242 Hulls from Betto when and if we sell one.
6. New Empire Boats is Betto, I believe they will call it Carrera Boats from now on.
7. The 23 Cat is a 23' WPM BOTTOM and the top deck is pieces of a placecraft/ ao / carrera cat and is in the tooling phase.
8. The 257 Carrera Party Effect hull is out and decked. The fuel tanks are in and it will go to rigging.
9. Betto has moved all the molds into his trailer shop yard- Most of them (Carrera / Aftershock) and many more are still yet to be moved.

Tahiti will continue to build boats next door, I will always help Betto with fuel tanks, rigging and anything I can. He helped me grow the business and is a great wood guy. I will always look out for the best interest.

We continue to work together to make the 242 hull correct for 3 different power options:
JET - in rigging
Inboard - LSA Bravo delivered
300R - Parker bound today.

i would love to see what the cat with the WPM bottom looks like. that is a kickass little hull any more details to share on that????

Does anyone have the scoop on what the heck is going on with this guy? I keep seeing his stuff pop up on Facebook but it is all very odd. He is using pics of what appear to be Tahiti Boats but he has crossed out the Tahiti badging and even went as far as to place "New Empire" over Tahiti's name in a couple pics. Just a couple weeks ago he posted a sellers permit for Carrera Boats and a live video of what looks like a Shockwave 22 Deck being built.

Anyone else see this being posted or have any information on this guy and his operation?? @Goodtime$

I think Todd cleared it all up and everything seems to be square and on the up and up, so.... show off your work man! We all like seeing more options out there. Specially, as Todd would say, in the "working man's DCB" category. So far, looks great!
