This is the first 860 boat being built by DCB! It’s expected to run low to mid 140’s! Being the first of its kind Mike Griffith from Merc Racing is coming out with props and working directly with DCB to make sure the setup is spot on!

In another first the DCB graphic on the side of this boat is actually in the gel, and isn’t a sticker like the boats in the past!

We will keep you updated how the testing goes and what numbers it puts up when they are done!

I'm really interested to see how these 860's perform such a cool low maintenance package....I personally think the boat is going to run harder than low mid 140's:)

Interested to see how the 860 performs. Seems like a huge NA motor would be good in the Havasu heat. If the maintenance intervals and GPH numbers are better than the past generation they may be onto something.

They told me the motors pull harder than the 700’s with whipple kits. I wouldn’t think they would but that’s what they said.

DCB M series get very little wind up front at speed. Yes they do get warm when it gets hot. The great thing is these boats cruise at 100 and you do not get blasted by hot summer air. DCB should cooled seats!

I am definitely looking forward to the numbers out of this one. I have an F32 with 700’s and I saw 145mph this fall, but it really empties the gas tanks at that speed,

There are some that have huge product loyalty.

Ford guys.
Chrysler Hemi guys.
Harley guys.
DCB guys.
The list is endless.

Probably not a direction I would go but you have to give someone props for building something like this. 860s...
This thing is going to be bad ass.

I'd give a thumbs up emojithing here but RD hasn't handled it yet.

If a guy wants the boat to have the logo on it, it has the logo on it. If a customer doesn’t want a logo on it, it doesn’t. It’s up to the guy building the boat.

I’m not a huge logo on the side of a boat kinda guy, but if you came to my garage you’d guess I’d have a Schiada tattoo.. lol.

Looking forward to the new Merc packages. I have always been a fan of the 08-14 DCB more intricate gel less logo on the boats / clear hatches always. I really liked the green m31 I used to own - DCB makes an unbelievable boat. As RD says (on the logo/gel/hatch) the owner is always right though... it will be nice to see a few 860 m31 boats on the water. :thumbs up :cool

Stage 3 700's?
I was thinking stage 3 when I bought it, but after talking to Kenny at the Regatta he said they were dynoed at 980hp a side before Teague put them back in the boat. So I am thinking they might be stage 4, but I have not called into Teague to confirm. The 145 number may have had a little current helping me...

That makes more sense, I too have an F32 and no way stock 700's push the boat 145.

Given the RPM range the Merc 860's have they should be a simply awesome setup, this engine can run sustained 6,800 RPM. Thus can run a smaller pitch prop making the boat a lot funner to drive yet has the RPM range to post a solid number up top.
