In the middle of a insurance fight. Customer dropped his car at our shop. Signed the insurance waiver to drive my car and his insurance covers my car. His daughter came to his house and borrowed my car. Totaled it out. State Farm says she is not covered to drive my car, she is not living with her parents. They were blowing me off. I told them my Insurance company has already said they will see them in court. They open a investigation to see if they can solve it. I'm sure it is a waist of my time. Ready to retire, really tired of this crap. The sad thing is, their car was out of the bodyshop setting out back to be picked up. She could have totaled her Dad's car and not mine.
That seems easy...simply add the price of the totaled loaner car to the bill for their car....don't release their car until the bill is paid in full. If they drag ass or refuse, put a mechanic's lien on it.

Your deductible is higher than the dent. This was $465 and you can’t tell any dent was ever there. Two different elevations and a round curve. There are some badass PDR guys that will handle it for you.

They have been touch with the other parties insurance and they told our insurance to kick rocks…no 3rd party witness. Pretty pissed off.
I got in a decent fender bender accident two years ago with an old guy. I called police for report but they weren’t responding and the old guy said he had to go pick up his wife from the airport. He said I’m at fault and this isn’t a big deal so we exchanged info, and I took a video of him explaining the accident and that he was at fault.

Push it all to insurance thinking no brainer. His insurance comes back saying that I hit him and the video was taken under duress as I had threatened him to say what he said. Super lame.

I just got ran into last week by a guy with no insurance and the car wasn’t registered so that was greatl. He promised to pay out of pocket. YEA RIGHT!

Nope.

And no it won’t. Don’t like it, don’t park near me.
I parked barely over the line at Fry’s early in morning and come out and some douche bag parked inside lines so close I couldn’t get in drivers door. We about had a gun fight in parking lot. He was screaming at me for parking over line. Whole parking lot was empty.

I pay attention to who parks close to me. Hate to say it but someone a couple months ago parked way too close when there was tons of room everywhere and after finding a mark, they need a paint fix. I'm not sorry, I work too damn hard for what little I still have.

Sue them in small claims. Point out that they gave you their insurance info. I know that if I didn't hit someone they aren't getting my insurance info.

When we got into salt water boating we had to deal with sailboats slamming into us while moored. Also they liked to put long tethers on their dingies and bobing up and down the props would chew up the side of neighboring boats.

I simply decided at the end of each season have the hull finish sweetened up.

Same with our nicer cars and trucks. Every so often I take it to one of the nicer body shops.
Out here its World Class, Exotic or Dougs. They do awesome work, cash no receipt no paperwork, call me to bring it in at your convenience when you have the time. The prices are fair but not cheap.

Resolve myself to it, lump it and pay the cost.

A past GF would borrow the truck and would stab the bed with the gas station fuel nozzle before inserting and leave half quarter sized scratch damage around the filler door.

Shit happens.

The wife drove the truck yesterday for some shopping and parks out where no one is.

Then comes out to a car who parks behind her and runs into the hitch and leaves it.

I come out of the VA yesterday and saw this. I pulled my rear video, he came on hot but managed not to hit.

Superduty’s don’t fit in parking spots for shit. My long bed hangs over a long way even if the front is sticking out.
They don’t. So my wife parks far away just to have someone park behind.

It’s with any parking lot. You can park by yourself and someone will park next to you with space la open all around.

I learned in the USMC and from my employer when ya turn in a vehicle for maint, always have the fuel tank full and the vehicle clean.
I still do that with my personal vehicles.

Our 2024 Dually went to the dealer to get the tail light unit replaced under warranty $1171.
Truck was showroom clean.
Drove home noticed 2 door dings.

IMHO,, to late to bitch now. I would have only brought it to their attention anyway. Our local dealer has been fanfuckingtastic to us over the years.

6 years ago today I was laying in a bed at USC Keck Hospital, bleeding a cup of blood a day through my asshole from a quarter sized cancerous tumor on my colon.
Wife stoic, but when she gets quiet and focused like that,, something bad is in the air.

I'll take the door dings.
