From what I understand Parker got a couple of RZR's to do patrol the Desert. Personally I take offense to the idea of LEO patrolling the Desert. The whole point of going to a desolate place is to get away from things like that.

I'm not sure, but I don't believe Havasu is patrolling the Desert Yet.
Look at the river years ago.
You could go to the sandbar and have a few beers and see one patrol boat
Then they close the sandbar
Look at the Desert bar years ago.
You could haul butt down the road and have a few beers and haul butt back
Now the sheriff sits at end of road waiting for you to break the 25 mph
Look at the Bunker bar opening soon
Place is a gold mine. Won't take much to patrol that being close to the highway
wait for it

this is in response to the neighboring states saying they wont honor az's and other states offroad registrations. az jumped into this deal when utah announced they wouldnt honor shit from other states.
Utah started doing it about 10 years ago.
I got popped for it. Ranger rolled up on us as I was unloading my CR at a staging area in Moab. Wanna say it was about a 100$ fine. Gets expensive to register the 5-6 toys I drag with me. We rode in 5 states last year.

I wonder how that will work with a rental. Do I need to be the register owner?

When I was at the ADOT in Parker on Friday I noticed the AZ Fish and Game yard across the street had a few unmarked rzrs parked in it. Hopefully they don't start cracking down.

I was there this morning and noticed the same.

It may be in the agreement you can’t take it out of state. Worst case you get a ticket for no registration. I wouldn’t worry too much about it off roading in Havasu unless you are only gonna go the bunker bar via the graded road.

When we go to powell and stay at lone rock one in group always brings a bike or quad last year i brought one for a restroom runner or whatever.I asked a NPS ranger about the utah permit. His quick answer was i dont enforce state laws only federal if its registered in your state i can care less! but im sure if it was a sheriff or local popo they would have got me for not having utah permit.

Wonder how it will go for an az street plated OHV?

Decal Revenue At Work For YOU!

Arizona offers more than 40,000 miles of off-highway vehicle adventure! By purchasing a required OHV Decal, OHV users help ensure trails stay open, maintained, and safe for everyone that chooses to ride here.

For more information about how your OHV Decal dollars are invested, please visit our grants page for a look at the interactive grants map that features over 180 OHV projects that have been funded with over $19 million in Decal revenue! As always, if you have questions related to Arizona's OHV Program please contact our team to the right of the page. Take care and ride safe!

Annual OHV Legislative Report

Each year, Arizona State Parks and Trails is required to report on the use of its Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Program budget. Please click here to see the 2020 Annual Report.

Not saying that the program is managed properly or not, but seems a fair ask to pay a fee to help improve access to trails.
