@dezertrider can you guys run some new flex duct and add a register. The previous A/C guy ran too small of a duct and not enough registers in my Master bedroom when I remodeled a few years ago.
Thats an understatement!! A 6 inch duct for a master bedroom and bath will never work. Now your all set and your master is cooling much better.

The more homes we go into in Havasu the more I understand how un educated most of the companies are especially the small guys. I only know of 2 other companies in town that understand you to size equipment and ducting. The rest of them are installers who started there own companies and have no clue how an air conditioner works.

I usually like talking to someone that I want to do business with. So I called the number on the website, one ring and a hang up. Tried several times last week and again this morning, same thing. What the hell I'll book on line and I see a different number to call but I'm already in the booking and completed for a service tomorrow morning. success👍

Saw a news story that crooks are stealing the whole AC unit to get the copper out of them.
Its been an issue for years. When copper prices go up it get worse. Commercial buildings get hit the hardest

That one in the left looks new.. 😳
The one on the left is only 1 year old and the copmpany that installed it refused to warranty it. It had a bad compressor and bad reversing valve. Thats 80% of the unit and its cheaper to replace it. @SFV2RVR

Ethan came out a week ago at our Havasu house and repaired our A/C. I was not there but he kept me posted on what he found. Very professional and great service

One of our greatest choices in life was leaving California and moving to Havasu. Running a business in this town is fun and the potential employees we have interviewed are 100 times better people then we had in Comifornia. Everything has been better so far

As with any business there are interesting situations. and what used to stress me out makes me laugh. I thought I would share a few with the group

It’s well know that a majority of the construction workers drink on the job. You see job site dumpsters filled with beer cans and bottles. AC and plumbing techs brag about drinking while working amongst themselves.

Recently I interviewed a potential employee that was looking for a change. He wanted to work for a company that drinking and doing drugs was frowned upon. He says it’s acceptable where he works. He also wanted a vehicle that had a working AC.

We were recently chased down by Needles city employees checking our license and insurance to contract in California. After doing business in California for over 30 years we have our ducts in a row. The inspector said he’s chasing out all the Arizona contractors that do shifty illegal work. 80% of the units we work on look like drunk and high people installed them LOL

The grow operations in Needles might be good customers to have. My Cousin is partners on 1. And my Friend runs one of the largest ones in town.

Mastercool with the 8" media pad work the best. You can get them at Home Depot. One thig most people forget is to make sure you are always bleeding water from the sump to reduce the amount of minerals that build up in the water

The square swampers with thin pads dont work as well.

One last thing. The higher the relative outdoor humidity the worse they work. Our warehouse has one that we dont bother using this time of hear.

We live in Oregon, but I have an upstairs that I would like to cool and this may work very well.

All my coolers with built-in controls have separate positions for pump on and off, Fan on and off, low and high...
That is just a control to turn on the different motors. They are on the same circuit. Matter of fact, there is a single power feed coming into the controller which then gets directed to the motors that need to run and at what speed based on your selection.

Ethan did a great job converting this side discharge heat pump to a down flow. This helps air flow for the house and reduces hiding spot for pigeons. I never knew Havasu had a pigeon problem but some roof tops attract them. Nothing like a sticky pigeon nesting around your AC unit

This is a 15 SEER2, 2-Stage unit. These are my favorite and most reliable units. Lake Havasu's temperature swings are extreem. You only need full capacity on the hottest days. You will save alot of energy only using the amount of cooling needed. The only one better then this is a fully variable system. They have a few limitations to them in this hot AF market

Its been a fun summer buiding the business in Lake Havasu. I was just going through my text messages with my son and found a few funny picture of things we found along the way this summer. Some of these made my chuckle

I told my son at the start of summer this was going to be him. Turns out he went boating every week and never got a farmers tan. He is actually tanner then he has ever been lol

We see this all the time. HVAC contractors plumb the drain line into the sewer vent pipe. Some AC units have the drain lines of the positive air pressure of the unit and some have the drain line on the negative air pressure side of the unit. The AC unit will suck in the sewer gases making your house stink and corrode the copper faster then normal. We were on the roof top changing out a unit and the neighbors shouted up to Ethan wanting him to look at there unit when he was done. They said they have always had a sewer gas smell since the changed the units a few years ago. He told them he could all ready see the problem and told them to pull the drain lines out of the sewer vents. They had the installing contractor out several times, a plumber and the fire depatment out once and knowone could figure it out

Ethan sent me this picture of the sign he put up in our customers home. I had fun telling him what those Flamingos meant

Someone had a little to much fun Labor Day weekend and hung out at our front door all meathed up

We do blown in insulation too. You would be surprised how many older homes have very little insulation in them

Thanks guys for fixing my AC last month! 2 capaciters and installed two traps. I haven't been out since, but I'm looking forward to not hearing the gurgling sound in the bathroom when the AC runs.

My system went out in June just as it was starting to heat up. Ethan diagnosed and two days later installed the new unit.
Cooling worked awesome and have just started with the heat side. 👍

Every one says they dont use the heat in Havasu. They all say that until December to February

I,m glad you like your system. We migh have installed a high effeciency 6 month air filter in your new unit. We started doing this on all new installs. You can order new filters at our new online store. They arent available anywhere in town so you can order them direct from the manufacturer to your home at this web site

Well here in Bullhead we've had some nights in the 40s already. Only used it a couple of nights.
You did install the HE filter and I was going to call after Thanksgiving, but I will try the online store after Turkey day.

Thanks again everything is working great.

Filters come two at a time so if you change it twice a year sign up for the annual subscription. I love these filters
