So I have known Brian and Kathy for the better part of 20 years.. When I first met him years back it was a Memorial Day weekend and my AC quit in the Parker house.. i wasn’t having much luck finding someone that could fix it because nobody had parts etc.. Everyone’s solution was just put a new unit in..

Brian at the time was working for a large AC company out of socal and said “I may have a solution.”

turns out he had seen one of the company trucks rolling through town.. so he got in his car and drove through a bunch of campgrounds and eventually tracked it down. Well the guy wasn’t supposed to have the truck in Parker it being a company truck and all.. and it just so happens that whatever little AC part I needed happened to be in said truck. I’m not sure how that deal went down but what I can say is about an hour later the AC was working on my house again.

Brian later started his own company called Dynamic which over the years helped quite a few members in so cal. He eventually sold that company and moved to Havasu full time a little while back.

Well he is back at it again with a new AC company that is a family affair. His son Ethan is also an AC tech and they now have Mission Accomplished AC here in Havasu.

So he offered to come and take a look at all my AC’s, so I said sure.. but everything seems to be working so I didn’t think Ethan would find anything wrong..

At my house on my main AC unit some kinda electrical thing was burnt up.. (I couldn’t tell ya what it was because I’m not an AC tech). The thing that got me though was there was a hard start kit installed but it just wasn’t hooked up?

He serviced the mini splits etc..

So temps are starting to rise and Barker tells me that the swamp coolers at my shop are just blowing hot air.. which I find more than a little surprising because they were all literally rebuilt middle of last summer and then “prepped” this winter so they’d be good to go this summer..

I happened to be standing there when the first one was being diagnosed.. it would help if the pumps were plugged in. (They were both just sitting there unplugged?).

As for the rest they both needed the water distribution blocks cleaned up, other one needed two new pumps and both needed new belts, and some kinda drain lines I guess..

Either way it’s all up and running again now and should be good for the summer.

I was under the impression Brian didn't really do much on the residential side of Dynamic?

BTW, when a swamped is winter prepped, the pumps get unplugged so the fans can run without blowing even colder air into the space. They are typically cleaned, serviced and ready to be plugged back in and water turned back on when the weather gers hot enough.

My pumps and fans are on separate switches and breakers..

No reason to unplug them.

I was doing commercial from 1991 to about 2009 when I started Dynamic and we evoled into more of a residential company. I prefer residential over commercial now :).

Well that is HIGHLY unusual and not a typical installation.
These are probably the highest quality Swamper installations I have ever seen. I was impressed.

These are no joke. I pulled up the specs on them and they need larger water pumps, The bleed lines need to be reinstalled to help with calcium and non adjustable pulleys installed so they stop chewing up belts.

Met Brian at the Desert Storm BBQ on our lot. He came by with his bad ass bronco. Nice guy and is a good addition to Havasu’s AC needs. Bummed that we just swapped out our system or we would have entertained using him. Perhaps we will on the commercial lot. 👍

Gotcha. I just remember a post back in the Dynamic days where you guys were working on a chiller after a bunch of copper theft I think and I asked Bill if it was a Daikin AGZ chiller and he said he had no idea, you ran the commercial side, he ran the residential side?

I can do it all. I prefer running the business in the office over the field but I can still do the field work. Its great excersise :)

I prefer residential work now now. Its easy and the customers in Havasu/Parker area awesome. My son is running a call in the keys and I have him delivering a 18 pack of beer with the service call.

Thanks for the info been trying to figure out who to use since Carey passed. Will give them a call as I want to get the A/C’s serviced before the summer heat hits.

My parents garage mini split stopped blowing cold a few weeks ago. I’ll try to schedule a service tomorrow.

Anyone have a good lead for a mobile tech for an RV A/C unit in the Parker area? My 5th wheel is down in big river and main A/C isn't blowing cold air. Cleaned the coils and condenser and didn't solve the issue. Call A+ and they never called me back.

Did biz with Dynamic in Cali. Installed 2 a/c systems in separate homes. Zero complaints or issues.
It will be nice to work with a familiar operator.....been kinda hard to move on to any ol' random hvac biz since Carey's passing.

Thanks Dave, I'll give them a shout once I've got some dates I'll be out there.

Dynamic did a A/C service at my house in Orange County which was sparked via the COVID help each other's business thread here on RDP. I believe they sold to Goettl who contacted me post the transition and have been keeping me dialed in since.

I'd imagine Mission Accomplished will do very well in Havasu, wish them all the best in the new endeavor.

Lots of homes in Lake Havasu City and Parker rent or VRBO their homes. If you let someone manage your property be very caustious. We have seen several poor fixes or maintenace plans that will cost you more money then the Property Manager is saving you in the long run.

This rental has house keeping changing filters, This filter isnt doing anyone any good and now the indoor coil is impacted with dirt, and the ducting is getting dirty on both the supply and return side.

Besides improper filter maintenance most rental have the AC cranked down below 70 degree by the renters or housekeeping.

Our neighbor in the Sundance Villas had a $1400 electric bill on top of space rent becasue of poor thermostat management. Wifi Thermostats you can lock down and set schedules to reset the temps will save you $100s every month. Its hard to make any $$ on your rental whith a $1400 electric bill and the additional wear and tear on your AC

I'll be in touch soon. We're building a house in Havasu and will need a couple of mini splits for a 3k sqft RV garage... Thinking two 3-ton units should do the trick.

For the Garages you can’t go wrong with oversizing with Mini splits. When you bring your boat in in a hot day they will ramp up to 100% to cool the garage quickly then slow back down to the load you need

This RDP member is lucky enough to get his air conditioner changed out twice by two generations of AC technician. Me in 2010 and my son last week. I got a call on my way to the River that his air conditioner went out. I was able to buy one through Palm Springs on my way to replace it. We all thought it was a good idea to stay up all night at foxes before changing it. We did and I am amazed that it lasted 14 years. That was a very rough morning. Now this member was able to get his unit changed out by a not hung over Team that probably did a better job than I did. We upgraded the blower to help push air through the shitty mobile home ductwork. This thing is pushing a lot more air now and should last another 15 to 20 years.

@dezertrider can you guys run some new flex duct and add a register. The previous A/C guy ran too small of a duct and not enough registers in my Master bedroom when I remodeled a few years ago.

As long as its not a mobile home and there is access to run the duct we can. Running undersized duct work is a major issue in this area. Most contractors have no clue aboutt he required air flow to properly condition a space.

I recently used Mission and Ethan was great. He added a Hart Start Kit which he said everyone in Havasu needs and changed my 1” filters to 3”. I signed up for a maintenance plan that has them come out twice a year at no charge to check things over and change the filters, think it was 350, enjoyed him and happy with what they did.

You are going to love the special filters we install on the maintenance. They are much better then any Home Depot filter you can buy. They should last a minimum of 3-6 month
