thanksWe have very good coverage in TX. It looks like Fort Stockton is the closest to Lajitas; 120 miles, so it is within our 150 NM typical operating range.

do you serve southwest Utah? we are about 30 miles NW of St.GeorgeThank you Dave!
Like RD said, just post up here and I can answer any questions. There's a variety of options depending on your address. AZ, for example, allows 10 year plans, that basically locks you in at around $50 a year, and again, that's for the entire household. Kids away from school qualify as well.
Sorry, no. I checked Enterpise and St George and we do not have Emergent coverage there. If you do any traveling then Fly-U-Home would be an option.do you serve southwest Utah? we are about 30 miles NW of St.George

The general rule is 150 NM from the dots, but there’s more to it than that. PM me your zip code and we can start from there. It looks like according to the map, there is a dot close to albuquerque (roughly where I live), but the southern part of New Mexico is pretty scarce. How far away from one of those blue dots can I be that this will cover?

Has to be on our equipment to be covered. Sorry for the short answer, but pretty much it.How does it work when you are air lifted by a county fire dept helicopter. Most the medivacs I see are either LA County Fire or Ventura County Fire. Do these departments bill for these flights and is there any reimbursement in this scenario where you had no choice? I have heard the FD's do not bill but that is just hear say.
We’re pretty strong in CA and most rural areas where we do business. I had a nicer and longer post written and deleted it! Doh! We should talk about Fly-U-Home too. That is more at your discretion. Bedside to Bedside once stable. The Emergent coverage is directed by EMS and you can see how that could get messy if the bird is on another call. No one wants to be responsible for waiting in a trauma scenario…Just to be clear...
Let's say I'm up in the Sierra's somewhere, and I bust myself up.
Will this service be available to me?
P. S. I'll be on the old guy policy if that makes a difference.
No, that is Native Air and more tied to the reservation. I could be wrong though. Still learning. We have two in Parker. Are the choppers in Mohave Valley over by Dream Girls in this network ? -thank you for posting
It’s based on the address we use to register. Anybody you can justify as living at that address, and listed on the plan, is covered. You can add people. Has to be before an accident. Kind of the honor system.Does the membership have to be a family type plan?
Unlimited for Emergent, 2 annually for Fly-U-Home.Lastly, is there an “amount” of flights per year or that maxes out the plan?
Just started meeting them. Saw two today, but don’t know their names…Do you now any of the pilots that fly out of NV/AZ?
We are very well covered in Hawaii due to its nature. We have both Emergent which is medical and accident, anything where there is risk to life or limb is how they put it, and Fly-U-Home International which would fly you to the mainland or Island of choice by your discretion after you are stable. What can you tell me about coverage in Hawaii.
Does this cover medical emergency or just accident? Sorry, if question was already asked/answered.
Thinking air-transport from outer island (Maui, Big Island) and need flight to Oahu.
What or are there co-pays or deductibles for flight?
Limits on annual use?
I would think that would be a free ride at taxpayers expense. In 1986 I was flown out of El Mirage Dry Lake and I never got a bill. I’m sure things are a lot different now with much fancier helicopters. How does it work when you are air lifted by a county fire dept helicopter. Damn could’ve tried to sell me on it last week lol.Thank you Dave!

Oh, I thought about it! I don’t want to end up being that guy: “don’t talk to him, he’ll bend you over and steal all your money!”Damn could’ve tried to sell me on it last week lol.
I’m still learning, but they’re nervous about pushing into the monopoly zone…It seems that SW Utah, SE Nevada and the AZ strip areas could generate a good amount of revenue/business......lots off-roading and national park visitors. Or does IHC (Life Flight), Mercy Air and Classic have a lock on those areas?
I’d have traded a few years over the cashOh, I thought about it! I don’t want to end up being that guy: “don’t talk to him, he’ll bend you over and steal all your money!”

Hello D, the two in Fort Mohave are from TriState CareFlight, they handle a bunch of areas in West AZ all the way up to Vegas and down to Parker and more. They have a division in NM as well. I personally would go with Kevins firm since he is an RD member and easy to reach, will answer any question you have and very cost effective PLUS I always try to give RDers my business. Are the choppers in Mohave Valley over by Dream Girls in this network ? -thank you for posting
If you travel at all, domestically or internationally, we have great programs for Flying you back to the local hospital of your choice. The international one is truly from anywhere (maybe not North Korea? lol) to a US hospital of your choice. With this program, you're in control as long as the Dr. says you're stable. We even fly family members back with you, if there is room available on the plane, at no cost.Hell yea! I have personally had 3 incidences where friends or family had to be life flighted from Powell, Lake Navaho & Glamis. It was costly! This is something to consider if you're doing what we were. I'm not out there like I was, but still considering.
So how do I find out memebrship cost (I haven't had time to read most of this thread)? We are going to Costa Rica next week, and will be rock repelling, boating, etc, in the San Jose area. How's that work if I, or someone with me got hurt, God forbid? If you travel at all, domestically or internationally, we have great programs for Flying you back to the local hospital of your choice. Our program would cover you on those trips for getting you back home on a medical flight. RDP cost is $355 for one year out to $2905 for 10 year. There are 3 and 5 year plans between that. Effective immediately. So how do I find out memebrship cost (I haven't had time to read most of this thread)? Also, going to Vancuver in July. Going to Roatan Honduras & Cozumel sometime this year. I guess I am still out there a bit LOL.
You guys are doing my job for me. Power of RDP!!Something everyone should keep in mind on this. Even if your current medical insurance policy states they cover you 100%, know that they may decide that the flight was unnecessary and decline coverage. This is cheap insurance against that possibility. I have family that had this happen, three years later and still fighting it.
Thank you Mr. Dirt! It was a pleasure. All entered in and you're ready to go.All signed up for International.
Thanks Kevin, nice chatting with you.
Thanks Dave for the RDP connection!
