We haven't had a big dog in years. We have had wiener dogs for about the past 20-25 year but recently decided to get a bigger dog Found a female Rottweiler puppy and the breeder delivered her to our house. He has been breeding Rottweilers, Bernese Mountain Dogs, French Bulldogs and Stafforshire Bull Terriers since about 1995.

Everyone say hello to Alexis (aka Lexie). Her name is in honor of the Rottweiler my Dad had. She is 11 weeks old and weights 15 pounds.

FYI, it is not considered "bad luck" to name a dog after another dog; many people choose to do this as a way to honor a beloved pet that has passed away, and see it as a positive way to keep their memory alive.

.. Very cool indeed… I had a Rottie when I lived in Big Tujunga Canyon …maybe 1996 to 2000… he came with the property. I don’t think he was a typical Rottweiler. He was the biggest dumbest funniest dog I have ever seen… I’m still laughing over some of the stuff that he did… like spending Sundays laying in the middle of the double yellow line out on the road🤷🏽‍♀️

Our lab puppy had huge paws - I thought she’d be a big one. As she grew her paws didn’t get much bigger and she just became short and squatty.

She’s a beauty RR, congrats!!

I had a Rott years ago. One of the best dogs we ever had. I’d have another if the threat of losing home owners insurance wasn’t an issue.

Beautiful Pup Buddy!

Just to lend a helping reminder, keep her at your residence and away from other dogs until she gets her last Parvo Vax!

Parvo is no joke

I know not all of them are dumb but the ones I have been around have mostly been dumb as rocks. Funny though. Pretty dogs to look at.

Good looking pup.

I have no had two pups named Phx. Both rescues and both rising out of the ashes. No bad luck!

Thanks and she will get plenty of exercise. I walk about 4-6 miles per day to keep my heart healthy.

Yes, we are aware of parvo and are keeping her home and away from other dogs other than our own mini-weenie dog that keeps her in line. She gets her 3rd dose of the parvo vaccine on Feb 7th and her 4th and final dose on Feb 28th.

Now need to find a good harness for when I'm able to start walking her.

Would suggest a neck collar, rotties like to pull and harness tend to make them pull more.

Ruff Wear products are what we use. Super tough and also have a place to hook a lead on thier chest to help teach them not to pull
