Tube kite would have been less expensive and provided the same thrill. Added bonus - you don't need to buy a new boat at the end of the ride.

They were talking to an unlimited hydro driver on TV one time. He said as they accelerate out of the turns it bounces back and forth on the sponsons. Thump, Thump, Thump, and the boat goes faster the time between thumps gets longer....he said he knows there's a problem when the thumps stop.
