Glad your wife is doing well.
It wasn’t long ago we had some of the best health care in the world in this country, and you wouldn’t have to go through this. Sad and infuriating

I explained in the current pics thread about our experience. Fighting our insurance and drs for two years trying to get her fixed. Finally said fuck it. Found probably the best expert in the world on her condition in Athens. Spoke to a couple other Americans that had same issues and corrected with this Dr in Athens. Said fuck it, quality of life is shit. Let’s get this done. Paid cash. Total fuckin success. Like more than we expected. She’s done more in last week since the open heart surgery than she’s done in at least past year. And the care in Athens was over the top. Spent whole day prior to surgery doing preop with a comfort manager. Met every single person multiple times on her surgical team. Spent 2 hours in a private briefing with both drs who then gave me their personal cell phone numbers and kept me up to date all through the week. Amazing over the top care. Unheard of in the states where big pharma owns the medical industry. And insurance just wants to get paid never wants to have to pay. It is more than frustrating when we pay 2k a month for insurance and have to go pay cash out of the country to get the problem fixed. Like I said though, best decision we ever made.

Oh, it’s not lost on me. I wouldn’t stop talking shit to her about the Kum spa. She’s a good sport. 😁
She's way more than a good sport to put up with U this long. We are both very lucky & married up way above "our pay grade"
Safe travels home.
Thrilled she got her life back.
Congrats

Merry Christmas from my family to yours Tank.
Good job taking care of business, especially when you shouldn’t have had to.

Fuck it. It is what it is.

Working overseas taught me best to assume connecting flights will be missed and checked luggage will be lost.

Could only be pleasantly surprised then.

Great to hear everything else worked out.

Happy everything worked out well for your wife Tank. My wife had OHS in 2017. She says, 'Welcome to the zipper club'.
